**Video:** My own encode. JPBD source, filtered with dehalo, aa, deband, and grain. [Comp](https://slow.pics/c/VHGsNqWo) **Audio:** JP audio is 16bit FLAC (dithered from 24bit) from the JPBD. ENG audio is from Funimation, 256 kbps AAC-LC. **Subtitles:** Includes both Crunchyroll and edited [DameDesuYo](https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=kyojin+damedesuyo+final+part+2) subtitles. Crunchyroll subs have DDY's OP/ED, TS, and dialogue styling. The midcards have the same translations as before, but with DDY styling. Chapters are taken from DDY with some tweaks by me. [List of changes to DDY subs.](https://pastebin.com/raw/6LQQQd5C) (SPOILERS) The only change from the last batch is that I reverted "Beware" to "Break Free" in the OP. DDY were right it just goes hard #### [Mediainfo](https://pastebin.com/raw/TdSt2uMZ) For dub watchers: as @Weebly9 pointed out below, the mix for Funi's English dub is apparently messed up in the web audio. It may be worth waiting for the USBD and SCY's release if that bothers you.

24bit hachi split coming soon
hachi will indeed thx
Anything other than pure PCM would be a disservice to this show
Nah, it was his choice. Scyrous will come through with a better encode and 24-bit audio in due time.
And, looking at the comps I actually think both of his encodes are bad, i.e. worse than source.
Thank you HachiRoku!
Since this is worse than source I recommend [TTGA](https://nyaa.si/view/1567678) instead. This wave dude calls me Baws and Baws me.

@HachiRokuNiSanKyu thanks for the glowing endorsement. you don't even know what you're looking for
>recommending a remux
Effort wasted on a shit show with a horrible adaptation.

@Interruptor nah aot goes hard
Nice of you to include the dub, but if you're a dub watcher and haven't seen this season yet you're much better off waiting for the Funi BD audio. The audio mixing of the web audio is fucked and they didn't fix it until near the end of it's run.
@mcbaws21, I just noticed that your filtering makes the lineart look less pronounced than source. That's why I recommended the Remux instead. Also, don't dither audio!
Hachi, give it a rest, you're exhausting. He fixed the oversharpening, so no shit the linework is going to be marginally less pronounced. This is a solid encode. There is nothing wrong with dithering audio when dropping bit-depth. It's inaudible unless you're looking to quite literally deafen yourself.
![hmmm](https://files.catbox.moe/ovhp7f.png)
I don't see any oversharpening. He just blurred the picture for no reason. Please show me the oversharpening.

the only filtering that pertained to the lineart was dehalo and aa. neither of those blurred the lineart. what it did do is remove the fake sharpening, which could be seen in the form of halos. This is clearly visible in comp 1.
Isn't haloing different from sharpening? The lineart clearly looks less pronounced on your encode in the same comp.

typical sharpening post-processing makes lines darker and surrounding areas brighter. this creates more contrast between the two, hence more perceived sharpness, and causes haloing to form around lineart. this looks like shit, which is why i ran a fine_dehalo filter on the video, removing the haloing. this does not blur edges or anything of the sort, but it does decrease the perceived sharpness of the lineart. however this sharpness was completely artificial, and came at the cost of haloing, which is why i decided to get rid of it. if you look at comp 1 closely again, you can see that the only change to the lineart is a slight aa, and the perceptual softening is entirely due to the dehaloing.
Thanks for the effort ! Maybe its a little bloat for me but i take it anyway ! <3
thanks a lot, I love this release
Hello sir your encode is suffering from TTGA syndrome. S04E20 07:31:117 https://ptpimg.me/rpw57u.png

Thanks! Are you gonna do the Part 3 BD? Can't wait till the true ending gets announced, wait till you guys find out that Sauna Reiner is a traitor to Marley and that Lainah is the father 🔥🔥🔥

User
@Headlights yeah i'm gonna take a look at it as soon as it comes out. it might take a while to actually release though cause if the bd uses the episodic format i'll have to retime and edit the subtitles
I believe it's still the 1 hour specials, along with the No Credit OP & ED from the episodic format (which by the way don't match the story thus far, same as the other OP's and ED's). A good way I can put it is "How would you top the basement reveal?", or "Did we really think that the author who did the basement reveal will play his best card only 2/3rd's into the story?". Remember when the plane was supposed to use Iceburst Stone as fuel, and had folded wings in Part 1? Why does it suddenly use normal fuel and has attached wings in Part 3? It's actually full of so much gaslighting I'm surprised how much stuff everyone let slide and just focused on "Alliance vs Eren". (Both sides are wrong btw)

User
@Headlights the wings are folded up. that's why they had to take it to the azumabito hangar to unfold them and get it flying. as for the fuel thing, you might be right about that, as they claim it's powered by iceburst stone but in special 1 they use a hose to put fuel in the plane. we don't really know how iceburst stone works though - it's also apparently used to power the maneuver gear, but comes in the form of gas in the canisters. maybe in both cases the gas / fuel is a byproduct of the stone, or comes about after some processing. who knows. i don't think it's the most important thing in the world. \>both sides are wrong btw the alliance's worst crime is being cringe idealists while eren commits nigh-omnicide. i guess they're about the same while i get why many people might not like post-timeskip aot, i still think it's great. the finale might not have as much sauce as the rest of it, but i still think it's servicable.
The plane is just one tiny example. And it's appearance/design doesn't match it's previous description. It's not about liking/disliking, it's about following the truth. Remember Erwin's words: "There's intent behind the contradictions". Isayama knows. Some more examples of gaslighting: S01 - The instructor doesn't interrogate battle scarred recruits, this is pointed out in a conversation. TFS Flashback - The instructor interrogates Reiner, which shouldn't have happened as described in S01 S01 - Eren saves Mikasa and says "You're Mikasa, Right?" - This is the first time Eren meets Mikasa TFS Flashback - Eren saves Mikasa and says: "It's okay now, Mikasa" - This means Eren already knows Mikasa Mikasa always had a tattoo in the manga, BUT. S01-S03 in the anime - Mikasa has embroidery (piece of cloth) instead of a tattoo that gets passed down TFS - Mikasa suddenly has a tattoo, and this is one of the only times Mikasa has no scarf on, conveniently (because Mikasa that has a tattoo has a black scarf, instead of a red one) Yams has been trolling the fans ever since the manga ended, and has been making strange illustrations, like this newest one here: https://twitter.com/AoTWiki/status/1770408817022669024/photo/1 Which shows a post time-skip where things went differently. It seems that the Soldier part of Reiner has won. AOT's universe is not deterministic, no matter how much 139 tries to sell you that fact. Don't ignore the gaslighting. If I'm wrong then Yama needs to buy a lotto ticket for accidentally setting up the perfect ending by sheer chance. Anyways, looking forward to the BD, thanks for taking the time 🔥🔥🔥

I mean, yeah, those changes are all due to wit making slight changes to the story and mappa following the manga more exactly
Aside the tattoo, which is probably intentional too, everything I pointed out is consistently contradictory in the manga as well. And it goes far beyond WIT/MAPPA because WIT has contradictions within it's own adaptation too, same goes for MAPPA. The list just goes on and on. Anyways, don't wanna take up more of your time, thanks for the releases 🔥🔥🔥
