This is great stuff. Any chance you'll do the OVAs as well? The character designs there were leagues ahead of the TV series.

I don't speak for ImAWasteOfHair, but I think that at this moment, it would be safe not to commit to anything. The TV series is going to be a lot of work, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Also, want to give a special thanks to ImAWasteOfHair and give credit where it's due. He's investing a LOT into this. A lot more than I am, anyway, so many thanks go out to him for getting this project up and running! 👍

Gotta be honest, I still don't get how that device even works. I also always read it as "doomsday device"

Well, at the very least it IS pronounced "dooms." As for how it works, you basically highjack the signal directly off the disc, before it gets processed by the really old and crappy hardware. Then using software decoding, you can get a much better and cleaner image than most of the players would have hardware decoded.
