Maiko Ito is a former idol, now an actress and a researcher who was active in the entertainment business since 1983 and started becoming more prominent in the 2000s as an actress. Her slightly squeaky voice, paired with catchy backing tracks make for a good idol kayo experience. At the time, her label was CBS/Sony, the same as Seiko Matsuda.
In the 2010s, she studied for a degree in medicine and robotics, then getting a master's degree and a doctorate as well as the decade went by. In 2019, she officially became a researcher for ExaWizards, an AI-related company.
Her life is pretty intriguing, and that makes her career more impressing for me, so I'm happy that I got ahold of presumably all of her recordings/sound sources for when she was an idol. Included here are her four studio albums, plus extra non-album tracks as bonus tracks. Compared to other idols, she might be a tad on the underrated side as her chart placings at the time weren't exactly to take note about, but the quality of her music is still pretty great!
