#### Encoder(s): Jensen --- Release notes: *The 4K Ultra HD version of Tenki no Ko / Weathering with You is a pretty terrible 2k - 4k up. As source material I used USA Limited Collector's Edition by Shout! factory. This is the only Ultra HD edition with Dolby Vision HDR. I hope my picture + DV fixes make for a good viewing experience and I really hope the 4K version of Suzume no Tojimari gets better lol. I cleaned the video from visible errors of 2k-4k conversion (ringing, etc.), slight de-noise with de-band and detail preservation mask to prevent destruction on dark scenes. That was encoded in HEVC 10-bit with safe compression settings to produce transparent quality video. For this release, I converted Dolby Vision Profile 7 BL + EL + RPU from BD to Profile 8 BL + RPU. This work on the following devices: nVidia Shield Pro 2019, Zidoo / Dune (SOC Realtek RTD1619DR), Ugoos AM6 Plus, Sony XG / XH. On devices without DV support, the HDR10 layer will be played.* #### Subtitles: | Author| Language| Format | | ------- |:------:| -----:| -----:| | BDMV | English | sup | Telegram: https://t.me/BeatriceRaws | Discord: https://discord.gg/Hry7EkU

Thank you for the cleanup, not a very good source outside of native 10b honeslty.
>As source material I used USA Limited Collector’s Edition by Shout! factory. This is the only Ultra HD edition with Dolby Vision HDR. Shout Factory UHDs released at the time have some kind of Rec 2020 to P3 conversion issue. This problem also affects their UHDs of [They Live](https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=6326) and [Prince of Darkness](https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=6327).
thanks do have plan for rereleased 1080p ? how about "Nakitai Watashi wa Neko o Kaburu | A Whisker Away" movie ?
> Shout Factory UHDs released at the time have some kind of Rec 2020 to P3 conversion issue. This problem also affects their UHDs of They Live and Prince of Darkness. DCI-P3 is the color space in which HDR toning was performed. In other words, this is a specification for a mastering monitor in a studio. And BT.2020 is a color matrix for digital video. It is not correct to talk about the conversion of the color space to the color matrix, in addition, BT.2020 has more coverage than DCI-P3. >thanks do have plan for rereleased 1080p ? It is possible that I will want to remake ALL Makoto Shinkai films in one way or another, but these are too far-reaching plans and it is premature to talk about it. >how about “Nakitai Watashi wa Neko o Kaburu | A Whisker Away” movie ? It's in the works and is on hold until I figure out a way to fix the colors in this movie nicely, so just "wait".
Godly work! I already have the 4K BD myself, but this is still good!!
Very well done on this one!
thnx gonna get this

Yes, but the point is that the colors, for whatever reason, are incorrect on the Shout UHD in the same manner as their They Live and PoD UHDs that were released around the same time (afaik only those three were affected). Don't see the benefit of using the Shout UHD because of that, though I guess the somewhat screwy colors are less noticeable in anime than in live action where jaundiced skintones or orangy bloods are easier to recognize.
I see. In fact, I would rather say that the JP edition has strange colors. There, all the colors are strongly shifted towards red.
After comparing both, I can see why some would prefer the Shout UHD colors. The error on the Shout UHD does help to tone down the color grade on the JP UHD which is a bit too colorful.
Hi, thanks for this encode. I looked into the blu-ray forums and it seems that this release should have Dolby Vision FEL. Is it possible for you to share the FEL stream? Also, is it possible for the FEL to be used in your encode? Thanks.
