While this is the Japanese release, the U.S. Geneon DVD set still offers a better package as it has 5.1 audio whereas here it's 2.0, and the picture quality is slightly better.

Went through Nyaa's list of Trigun torrents, and seen that FUNimation's DVD release is available [here](https://nyaa.si/view/809547).
Maybe for comparisons and preservation's sake, but the only good release truly is Geneon's.
That about does it.. until/if they release a HD Remaster of the series be that on Blu-ray or Amazon Japan.
thanks as always for your golden contributions, impakt, if anyone wondering what's the best release/encode of the show so far on nyaa is. here it is https://nyaa.si/view/1440919

From a dude who goes by INFRNL, but I've not compared it to KM's release, tbh.
Enigmo once showed a bunch of screenshots of his version although that was about it, it did look pretty damn good.
i looked them up and they didn't show up weirdly enough. did they delete their upload or something? i'd like to make a comparison between the two if that's possible since i'd be surprised if there is another release/encode as good or better as KM's one.
I generally don't watch anime dubbed in English, but making an exception for Trigun as it's a Western and there's nothing better than a quality English dub while watching a Westerner. Also seen Lucky Luke dubbed in English and it was awesome (yeah, that's a French cartoon series, but it looked really nice and the English dub was top notch).
Here's some screenshots, I'll just reuse them for the eventual upload of this release.

Kind of makes downloading all those DVD ISOs sort of redundant.
I guess you can think of it as preserving them as they are the basis for these encode after all, haha. and ic, thanks for the heads-up. and wow, it really looks just as good as KM's one and potentially maybe even better. i'll look forward to that eventual release then. thx for the share, impact.
That is a major difference. i’ve got the US release, but watch ripped JP versions… Thanks for sharing JP DVD's of Trigun
It might take a little work to get everything onto 2 25GB BluRay DVD-Rom's. If it works that make this all the much more worth it
