The R2J Source has higher quality audio, but worse video than the R1 release therefore the original Japanese track was synced to the R1 encoded video. The quality of the R1 video itself, while better, was still poor displaying a significant amount of blended frames to contend with that have been mostly removed. VFR was employed to preserve smooth motion in the scrolling ED English credits. Superior filtering to reduce dot-crawl, haloing, and aliasing were applied. The source exhibited pernicious rainbowing which was eliminated via a mixture of derainbowing filters and UV sharpening and noise removal. A combination of very-weak luma denoising was also employed to eliminate mosquito noise to the extent possible without harming detail and adaptive grain-matching was implemented to treat macroblocking. Finally, when comparing the source footage and measuring known white-points by sampling their component RGB values highlighted a consistent slight-green chroma cast throughout the R1 source that gives the film a dingy/sickly appearance which has been reverse-equalized to a neutral white balance to alleviate said bias. Styled subs were originally taken from **Tsundere**'s release and heavily modified by me to further correct several inaccurate or overly liberalized translations from ADV's old script, add several missing lines, split and combine others to improve readability, preserve honorifics, retime the script to eliminate scene bleeds, etc. among other fixes.
