During this show I gradually increased my knowledge of styling signs, so the first episodes might not be much different from ocr'd PGS (which is the script source btw). Besides styling signs, I also retimed every dialogue line to fit the japanese audio, but note that the translation is still pretty bad. Karaoke sounds too scary to me, so the songs only got fading subs. ###### On a few occasions, I had to rephrase some lines that were just too long. The audio had to be copied and delayed from Exiled-Destiny, since I didn't want to re-encode it. The origin of the video is a russian DVD9. Thus, credits and other branding is neither japanese nor english. Rule number one, when the JP DVD is easily available, you use it even if its 480p its whats original resolution, the Russian DVD is an upscale for compatibility with PAL standard, this is basic 101 knowledge when subbing and encoding old anime. Also scripts to remove audio, I never seen this approach before, the best releases have already been out for 14 years so I am not sure its gonna get any better. I am not sure if you ran your copy through AVISynth to fix the various issues that is with the Russian DVD release.

I wasn't able to find any softsubbed release that just didn't include ocr'd subrips. If you're talking about image quality then so be it, that wasn't this project's goal to achieve. yeah no Im with SMGjohn on this one, russian source poo. if you cant download a '0 seeded torrent' you find another source for the same material, or leave it on your engine until the uploader comes back on. using something else as 'good enough' is never 'good enough' side note; scripts dont work. dont bother pandering to the 'subrip trash' crowd who dont want to hear the same damn voice actors in half the animes out there.. why not just release as dubbed only? I mean its already a russian source, might as well bastardize it fully. but yeah thanks for the download.. that i now get to delete and re-download from someone else because I didnt read the text-wall full of mostly-irrelevant information that was lazily copied and pasted in. ufu~

Can you be a little more specific? The wall being ffprobe? That's pretty relevant to know what kind of codecs are used, if it includes chapters... . My initial description is still clear enough on what kind of upload this is: It was a small project of mine to get more accompanied with typesetting, nothing of the *blu-ray remaster* kind. Thanks for the effort, but I'll have to agree what was said previously. The quality of this is pretty bad. Not only do you have the awful stretch from the russian dvd but the colors are also slightly off with a greenish tint. Here is a quality comparison of 3 different releases: https://slow.pics/c/4WlaDesf As you can see, both this and Exiled Destiny's releases has a stretched image with noticeable lower quality. Exiled Destiny's release has worse colors and this has worse quality. I would go with the R2DVD release from NyaaTorrents instead. The quality of that is comparable to what you'd find on streaming sites since it's the same video file source so you're not really getting that much of a quality increase by downloading it anyway. That being said, there isn't really a perfect alternative here. You're either getting shit quality or shit subs. While this probably has better subs than the other release I'd still like to see it get a more proper translation as this is just like op says, not amazing TL either.
