English subtitles for Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san episodes 22-43. This includes new subs for eps 42-43, a new sub for ep 22, and revisions to existing subs for eps 23-41. (Nothing massive, but some general improvements like next episode previews, a few jokes I missed the first time round, also I decided to change tailor-folk back to sewing-folk) Together with HnK's subs for eps 1-21, this COMPLETES English subtitles for Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san! Woo. I also included a lyric translation for the two DVD-special music videos. Watch those after the series, they include spoilers and post-series events. Designed for the 1024x768 DVD rip raws from https://nyaa.si/view/1465625 or https://nyaa.si/view/807963 but should work with others as well. These subs are mostly based on the Taiwanese subs by Eivind, with changes to names etc to match the existing JP based translation for episodes 1-21, and some more careful checks. I'm waiting for delivery of the artbook, which supposedly has a bonus epilogue comic, maybe. Once I have that scanned I want to make a complete batch torrent with eps 1-21. An anonymous fansubber PS: If any members of HnK are reading this and have old sub files for episodes 1-21, it would be very nice if it could be used so that the entire series is at the higher 1024x768 resolution....

Can you not rip the sub files from the avi files of the HnK release or is it too much work to retime it all or something? Also thank you very much for the work subtitling this, everyone.

Thanks! It's so exciting to finally see the rest of this! Comet was a favorite of mine in my early anime watching days, so I'm really stoked to see the rest of it. The HnK release is hardsubbed, so they would have to manually copy and re-time those to use them.

Fortunately, it's no longer that hard to rip hardsubs. The combination of VideoSubFinder and ABBY OCR is amazing. You could do the longer, but more effective AviSubDetector manual mode, but for that one you literally have to type out the entire subs. With the first combination you don't need to do that, but you will have to manually check every line. To be honest, they both take about the same amount of time. I tested it with episode 1 and 2. The best news is that either method completely copies the timing.

Now all we need is for someone to make softsubs for 1-21 of nyaa.si/view/807963. I'm working on UFO Baby subs so can't do this one for a while. Maybe try asking StarCreator if he still has softsubs for them
