this series sure turned out to be wildly popular ..it is only in Anime land that such a mix of history and fantasy might happen. As for getting into and out of tanks in a shore school skirt, with no damage to clothing or personage, well that is another story. some tanks had only 1 exit some had up to 5. survival time of an American Sherman Tank was something like 40 seconds in the presence of a Tiger.The Sherman was a death trap that was only successful by having vast numbers used. The Japanese Tanks were wildly unsuccessful and not much use at all.

good thing they're all so tiny compared to the grown men who usually get into these things :)
