wish you had just released the softsubs when you first had them literally years ago (because that’s how a proper translator shares subtitles), but i still have to say thank you.
also fuck you.
@shirepirate
Rude. FYI, we don’t just slap the old subs onto the new Blu-ray raws – a lot more goes into it than that, such as TLC, editing, TS, etc (because y’know, that’s what a proper fansub group does). Plus, we didn’t have the scripts for any of the episodes released in hardsubs anyway, so the option of just using the old scripts on the new raws isn’t available to us.
“we didn’t have the scripts for any of the episodes released in hardsubs anyway”
somehow i’m not surprised by this at all. is this the mindset of all hardcode fansubbers? just trash the subs when you’re done creating the “definitive final product?” or forget about them and lose them?
anyway, it doesn’t matter now. these scripts can now be used with a proper encode, and that’s all that matters.
You make it sound like we intentionally deleted the scripts, when the reality is Live-eviL started Yawara in 2003 with a completely different team to the one doing it today. How many files do you still have that are 18 years old? Not to mention, the people likely to have kept the files have pretty much all retired now and are totally unreachable, so I’m not sure why it’s such a surprise that a lot of hardsub scripts have gone missing over the decades.
Anyway, your primary goal seems to be to antagonize us so I’ll leave it at that. You (or anyone else) are free to use our scripts how you like, though from your lack of uploads and the fact you’re only linking the scripts there, it looks like you’re more content to shoot your mouth off at the group producing the subs for you while expecting someone else to do the work you want done.
@Gradius The old dvd subs are all out of sync, you can’t simply patch them with the blurays and be done with it. Wish someone would do syncing and uploading the subs separately

There’s a translation issue in episode 21 when Jody conceded to Jigoro(u).
She says mairimashita, but it was translated as “my master”.
Gradius
Thanks a lot @shirepirate.
Too bad some eps are off sync, but nothing imposible to fix it.
pip3
consider fixing this for the batch

@pip3 - Consider updating your version of mpv. This does not occur on MPC-HC, VLC, or the latest version of mpv-64b (downloaded today for Windows).
