Nice, thanks!
cringe and bluepilled
Maybe I missed it, but what's the difference? Why rerelease?
Thank you for this & Your gonna release the Mushoku Tensei - 23 (Amazon CBR) Right ?
>Maybe I missed it, but what’s the difference? Why rerelease? apparently people were downloading shittier releases just because they were 1080p while his old, better release is only 720p. and this is apparently worth caring about.

> this is apparently worth caring about I don't put work into subbing anime so that I can stick it away in an external hard drive and feel superior about having the best version. I sub it so that people can watch it. So of course I care about whether people are avoiding downloading it for a stupid reason.
not sure why you sub airing anime then because there's no way you're gonna get many downloads
He's not getting many downloads either way. Also, the work he puts into the currently airing ones is used for BD archival releases anyway, so I don't really see your point.
Overrated trash but thanks I guess
what kind of loser puts out shittier versions just so that they can say some mouth breathers have their shitty version downloaded

> what kind of loser puts out shittier versions just so that they can say some mouth breathers have their shitty version downloaded I dunno what kind of loser would do that, but I'm not sure why that question is relevant here since this version is not shittier than the 720p version.
Nyaa as usual today Thanks for the hard work
@motbob I love your uploads, ignore the trolls, especially the dinosaur from 10 years ago who hasn't uploaded anything since. You are based
Time to switch to VLC.
You are the best. We are eternally grateful for your hardwork!!
I will keep your 720p release, but thank you for the hard work and Merry Christmas!
Thanks for both seasons and Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much! I have no idea why, but I've never watched your release before and it merely took watching the OP to know the vast difference in the TL. I'm watching episode afte episode and still can't get over how much better the translation is - there isn't many startling differences in overall meaning, but reading the OP text it's like it finally clicked. It fits the melancholy mood of the OP perfectly and is much clearer in its message than the other TLs. Stunning work.
I don't like this translation. Economy talks looks like gibberish, at least in the first arc. Too bad, I don't know better english subs. I'm glad we have good russian subs/dubs from Reanimedia.
>Economy talks looks like gibberish That is just economy talk in general
Just compared to Nep_Blanc release. That is much better and close to novels official translation. Thora's looks like speedsubs in comparison.

Post comparisons. Or at least tell me what scene you're talking about. I was an econ major, so if the subs are gibberish, I guess I've been wasting my life!
E.g. S01E08 10:24: 1) You'll pay the initial sum you offered, the amount you were to profit from this deal, and, let's see... 2) You'll allow me to buy double all that on loan. To buy what? Money? Initial sum + profit? Maybe it's clear for some english native, but compare the last line with Nep_Blanc subs. Quite the difference.

I'm sorry, but those lines aren't confusing in the least, especially since the following lines help to explain the nature of the transaction. (It should be noted to people looking in on this comment thread that the first line only makes sense if you've been watching the scene up to that point.) "To buy what?" Well, potentially anything this merchant is selling, in the amount specified by Lawrence (offer + swindle profit x 2). Lawrence gets more specific a few lines later. More precise terminology would be "on credit," but what else would "on loan" mean? Even if this is confusing, I think two merchants would talk to each other in language that would be confusing to a layperson. Surely there are more confusing lines than this in the first arc, as you initially complained about. I always wondered whether I had a precise handle on the currency re-minting stuff.
>Well, potentially anything this merchant is selling From my poor english knowledge, "all that" means something discussed before, not afterward. >I think two merchants would talk to each other in language that would be confusing to a layperson IRL - yes. In fiction - no. Talks should be clear by a layperson. Or he can google some terms and understand them. That's the rule of bookwriting that usually contradicts with a "normal speech". PS: I have a hunch, that "buy double all that" can be modern stock slang. But it's medieval, you know...

Well, I'm happy you were able to find subs that you had an easier time understanding.
