![alt text](https://vids.theroaringlion.net/pictures/Nep_Blanc%20Release%20Group/Banners/Dragon-Maid-s01-banner.png "MaidDoragon") Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid taken from the Source BD Encoded by me with great care. [Video] Codec: H265 HEVC Encoder: x265 10Bit Resolution: 1920x1080 Framerate: 23.976 [Audio] Track1: Flac 24-Bit lossless audio with Japanese in 2.0 Stereo Track2: Flac 24-Bit lossless audio with English in 5.1 Surround [Subtitles] Track 1 - [DameDesuYo] Subs Subs Track 2 - [DameDesuYo] Signs/Songs Chapters included [Video quality] We use CRF 18, a high-quality bitrate setting that is a standard recommendation on Doom9 (the expert encoding forum). Rest assured that this video will look perfectly fine even when watched closely on a large screen. CRF 18 avoids pointlessly bloating bitrate for virtually no gain, so you get a great balance of quality and size. [Audio quality] This encode uses FLAC, which is lossless but also very large. For virtually the same quality at a much lower filesize, download our [Small] encode instead, which uses lossy AAC encoding to strike a better balance. (The video in both encodes is identical.) [Small]: TBR If there are any issues please comment below with good pointers where something goes wrong. Have fun watching and hope you like this torrent. Do not forget to comment after you watched and or downloaded it ^^ [![IMAGE ALT TEXT HERE](https://vids.theroaringlion.net/pictures/Nep_Blanc%20Release%20Group/Discord%20banner.png)](https://discord.gg/hr6YBZP "Comon click here!") \>dragon maid s1 \>not 0x539 subs \>literally dead on arrival
@Simplistic not only that but these are basically mini encodes with 24bit FLAC lol.

KEK far from mini encodes and far from DOA haha sorry but @simplistic is well lets say envious much derp./ on top of that well if you think this is a mini encode it is not that is just how good HEVC is. FLAC with this encode is there for the people that want to make their own audio compression below this. Though I do make Qaac Q127 on request
Trust me, I'm not envious. I'm simply saying that 0x539 put so much work into their DDY edit that not using their subs is honestly an insult to anyone who watches this. There is no reason not to use their subtitles for ANY encode of this season. And I'll post this on any release that doesn't contain them. The difference is large enough that I can definitively say that without them, this release is DOA.
Yeah. Their subs are a huge TS improvement. I said this was a mini-encode because video suffers from literally all the artifacting issues that a mini does. Also CRF 18 lmao. People should just get: https://nyaa.si/view/1221461
Tester here. @Simplistic: Where are your proofs that using 0x539 subs is better than using the current subs? So far you're just posting this without any evidence, which makes your argument very weak, and I do not see any artifacting going on in the video, I feel as though you guys are just outright trying to siphon seeders from this torrent out of jealousy or competition. And mini encodes? If they were using AAC, then I would consider that a mini-encode, this is not a mini though, you guys need more proofs before you guys should try to bash a hard-tested encode.
@BClaude check [their release](https://nyaa.si/view/1221461). I was going to add it to my comment but got distracted and started cooking food. And once again, I'm not sure what I could be jealous of, considering I could just as easily make my own release. I normally don't care, but the subs 0x539 made for this season contain the best typesetting ever done. And I want others to also see what I've seen. I've just come here to say that if you watch with DDYs plain subs, you're going to miss out BIG TIME. I will admit my first comment came off as "herkz" tier though. @vikrant9760 It's a *modern* slice of life show, CRF 18 is honestly fine.
@Simplistic: I'm not checking any other encode until you provide proper evidence, side-by-side and technical evidence that using those subs are better. And excuses like "but got distracted and started cooking food" shows you're not really serious about this. Why even post, dude. EDIT: I think you just prefer bloat, dude? I'll say this for the last time- provide evidence, or stop posting.
Dude, why are you being a complete asshole? You're really not helping your case. If you click the link I so nicely provided, you can ***read*** why they're better subtitles, it should be instantly obvious as to why. If you can't see the reasoning please tell your boss to stop uploading. Also, since you asked, my hamburgers were quite tasty. A bit cold though, because I decided to respond to your comment before eating them. **EDIT: As it is though, if boss lady doesn't plan on changing the subtitles, I recommend anyone serious about watching this show to find another release that utilizes 0x539's subtitles. Trust me, you won't regret it.**
>I’m not checking any other encode until you provide proper evidence, side-by-side and technical evidence that using those subs are better. holy brain damage
what in the hell is the comments here?
> I was going to add it to my comment but got distracted and started cooking food lmao
nep_black bloating his mini releases with dual 24bit flac? nothing out of the usual here.
Also flac is a meme, the actual reason for keeping flac as audios is for [longevity](https://lightarrowsexe.github.io/moon_blog/to-flac-or-not-to-flac/) not quality. You really really really need good equipments to tell the differences between lossless and lossy audio tracks. can you do abx test? if not, then i can't really take your word for it. Except in a case like the audio contains metadata that would be lost even if it's converted to flac. (ex. dts headphone x in violet evergarden). So you better off using AAC tbh. or even opus if you need more efficient lossy codecs. :^)

OMFG the comments on this, FYI FLAC on here is for longevity, no shit sherlock! I use QAAC Q127 on my [Small] releases for a good reason duh of course you can choose those and have that. I just prefer FLAC myself and the good file savings HEVC has. I may bloat shit with FLAC but then again you can go and re-encode that to your own standard if you so wish. No foul comments are needed! I barely care for the "OMG SO BLOAT FLAC" comments as they are invalid anyway, just make it smaller yourself Nepping NERD/VIRGINS!! Also, none of you NEPS have given any proof so far about "Quality regarding artifacting on HEVC", so far only just banter and complaining that its bitrate is too low which is just laughable really. Sorry but BLAH BLAH, dismissed the statement the moment you did not make a proper comparison. Then keep in mind that most NERDS here call artifacts is a perfectly normal lossy way of removing some preëxisting artifacts from the source encode. HEVC smoothes in high motion scenes which is pretty good if you ask me. and if you keep the CRF values to a proper setting this will not result in a so-called "Artifacted encode". Anyways I've looked at those subs and those are a decent addition to a V2 and V2 will have a [Small] release as well ^^ Have fun ya NERDS/VIRGINS miffing over stuff that well is just banter for 0.000000000000% reason
wish you'd get banned on PTs for your street shit-tier releases
Hearing the difference now isn't the reason to encode to FLAC. FLAC uses lossless compression, while QAAC Q127 is 'lossy'. What this means is that for each year the QAAC Q127 sits on your hard drive, it will lose roughly 12kbps, assuming you have SATA - it's about 15kbps on IDE, but only 7kbps on SCSI, due to rotational velocidensity. You don't want to know how much worse it is on CD-ROM or other optical media. I started collecting QAAC Q127s in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the tracks I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 256kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange...well don't get me started. Some of those albums have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren't stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you'll be glad you did. Moreover, QAAC Q127 introduces artifacts into the audio. Only the industry knows what they’re doing and even then I doubt it. I once did QAAC Q127 and got into a lot of trouble because they were considered mini encodes. I trust what Koby from kametsu has to say on QAAC Q127.
I trust what Pog42 says about lossy audio formats
I trust what Pog42 says about lossy audio formats
I only trust pog42 about lossy audio formats

I crust what Pog42 says about lossy audio formats

"just make it smaller yourself Nepping NERD/VIRGINS!!" [@Nep_Blanc](https://www.looper.com/img/gallery/what-the-cast-of-revenge-of-the-nerds-looks-like-today/intro-1507658461.jpg) Making it smaller themselves is not a good idea for virgins. Better advice is for someone to help them with that. WInk wink. Nudge nudge. Body pillow waifus don't count. ["Have fun ya NERDS/VIRGINS"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdcppLqZf7c)
