What’s the difference? I didn’t know there’s more than one version of ep.13.

It’s your choice whether you download this or not. If you don’t like mini encodes you don’t have to download them. To be honest, ember doesn’t do a bad job encoding their anime, most of the other mini encodes have shitty sound, where ember’s encodes have decent sound quality. Another thing people don’t realize is hevc actual is pretty good quality if you have a computer that can handle the compression. On the other hand, if you are trying to put it on a DVD or play it through your smart tv, you are better of with larger, less compressed versions. I am not saying it is better quality than a bdrip or anything, just saying that if you are watching anime on a gaming laptop with a 20 inch display or smaller, you will barely be able to tell the difference unless you watch the two side by side.

You actually can tell the difference, unless you are clinically blind ofcourse. These mini encodes are debanded and antialiased to infinity and literally have zero details and are oversharpened more often than not. Not to mention the horrible ringing they have most of the time.

I usually watch anime on my Macbook in bed at night when the rest of my apartment roomates are sleeping and I can’t use the TV in the living room. And unless you have a really shit laptop with a horrible screen, you can tell the difference as clear as day and night.

Hell you can even tell the difference on a phone screen if you are used to good quality encodes.

@vikrank9760 - Here is an idea. Why don’t you start encoding, to show everyone the correct way of doing this?
And as Mr_Magus mentioned, its your choice to download EMBER encodes or not. They are not forcing you.

Instead of complaining about all their releases you can either shut up or start doing it yourself.

EMBER - Please continue your awesome work. I view most of them over my 4K TV with Plex and enjoy it very much. Much better than viewing on Netflix/Amazon which offers no better quality and definitely no proper subs.
