After being delayed due to the pandemic and withheld from us non-Japanese folk for another half a year because Japan-exclusive theatrical movie, the 23rd Pokémon movie is finally here! Had it not been for the pandemic messing everything up, this movie would have presumably come out the week after PM19 episode 32, so if you want to experience this in a manner closer to what the anime staff presumably intended initially, consider giving that episode a rewatch before watching this. This is by no means necessary as the plots in no way intersect, but I do think that watching that episode with the mindset that it was meant to be movie promotion might help put it in a new light. This release also includes the creditless versions of the opening and ending, as well as the theme song collection. Dialogue Translation: Lord Starfish Song Translation: bluesun Timing: Toa of Gallifrey, Lord Starfish Typesetting: Puto, Lord Starfish Editing: Puto Translation Check: bluesun Encoding: Puto Quality Check: Toa of Gallifrey, Josh, JulesMFinWinnfield, Trıp

I'm here before Maui from the Disney movie Moana to say you're welcome!!!
I'm here before everyone reading this comment!
@Puppy D'oh! (╯▔皿▔)╯ Thanks :D
funny how the 1080p version won't play on my tv but the 720p version will. This happens every year with Pokemon Movies only. my Samsung tv play's 4K MKV oh well thanks for 720p :)

Your TV presumably does not play well with HEVC I guess.
actually most TVs these days can play HEVC, but only if it's 10-bit
With this out, I feel JoJo coming real soon.
Thank you very much!!
Çok tşk ederiz. :) Thanks.
i get *why* you're doing 12bit, but it's removing compatibility for a lot of older hardware and media devices. on a PC it's fine, apart from the fact that older hardware will struggle with HEVC to begin with, a lot of TV's won't be able to play this back (as mentioned by someone already). i dont think it's stupid to assume people won't just want to watch this brand new movie on their PC. piracy is piracy though so i guess you can't complain. thanks for the release.
Thanks for the release. I think it's a bad idea to do it in 12bit. Because like said before, compatibility will fail. Even so, i watch it on my pc, and the screen constantly lag or freeze. I never have this kind of problem, and i download and watch videos like this every day, mostly 10 bit or 8 bit, movies or animes or else. So i think it because of this file. I watch a lot of other release from you, but it's the first time i encounter this problem. Thank you anyway.
As others have said, thanks for the release and hate to complain but, if you guys can release a 1080p version people can actually play on their TVs that would be great.

For what it's worth, we realized after the fact that the settings on this encode were kinda messed up in multiple ways and we are now doing another encode. Both because of the 12bit incompatibility issues (that haven't really come up before... but then I guess very few people actually cared about MSBE, and both Minna no Monogatari and the Sun & Moon BDs were re-releases of stuff that had previously gotten 8bit releases) and because we found through Toa doing some comparisons for bakabt, that the 720p actually has MORE detail in a lot of places than the 1080p does.
Thanks for taking in the feedback! Much appreciated! As a side note, could we get the 2.0 track added to the new release as well?
@Lord_Starfish so it's good that we use the 720p one? since it has the better video quality?
