![banner](https://i.imgur.com/Yd8T7nc.png) #### Previous Releases: [Dragon Ball](https://nyaa.si/view/1283101) // [Dragon Ball Z](https://nyaa.si/view/1331089) // [Dragon Ball Z HD Specials](https://nyaa.si/view/1374491) ### The circle is now complete. SoM presents our definitive release of Dragon Ball GT, the last of the original classic Dragon Ball series. #### [Discord Q&A Link](https://discord.gg/rb73crV2vb) ### Video | Episodes | Source | Resolution | PAR | DAR | Scan Type | FPS | Format | Encoder | Media Info | |:------------:|:--------------:|:----------:|:-------:|:----:|:-----------:|:-----:|:------:|:-------:|:----------:| | 1-64, SP | R2J Dragon Box | 708x480 | 177:160 | 4:3 | Progressive | 23.976 | H.264 | JySzE |[MI Link](https://pastebin.com/PPWxEbCs) **Notes:** 1. Despite being the highest quality release available, the Dragon Boxes have many well-documented flaws to the image due to both how and when it was authored. This includes chroma noise, haloing, random interlaced shots and scenes, inaccurate Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR), and random shots in the wrong frame rate. Remuxes of the Dragon Box and any encodes based on them will all carry these same issues. 2. To fix these issues **JySzE** applied the following fixes: IVTC, decimation, PAR correction, chromatic aberration reduction, and chroma noise reduction, and blocking treatment/grain retention. [Comparison Pics](https://slow.pics/c/3sReFmpR) Note that the TV Special has only been decimated due to it being sourced from a tape master. ### Audio | Episodes | Lang | Source | Source Media | Channels | Format | Provided by | Sync by |:------------:|:----:|:----------------------------------------------:|:------------------:|:---------------:|:------:|:---------------:|:----------------:| | 1-64 | JPN | 2015-21 Broadcast Audio (BSFuji) | HDTV broadcast | Stereo* | FLAC | SoM TC | Deli | 1-64, SP | ENG | 2008-09 FUNi "Remastered" Dub (Tokunaga Score) | Green Bricks | 5.1 Surround | AC3 | Nyaa | Brundlefly (dragon-radar) | 1-64, SP | ENG | 2003-05 Original FUNi Dub (Menza + English Cover OP/ED) | Singles DVDs | 2.0 Stereo* | AC3 | N12 | iKaos | 1-64, SP | ENG | 2003-05 Original FUNi Dub (Menza + "Grand Tour" OP/ED) | Singles DVDs | 2.0 Stereo* | AC3 | N12 | iKaos | 1-64, SP | JPN | 2005 Dragon Box | DVD Box | 2.0 Stereo | AC3 | Nyaa | -- | SP | ENG | 2001 AB Groupe "Big Green" Dub | VHS TV Rip | 2.0 Stereo | AC3 | DBZImran | iKaos *Additional QC assistance provided by ergiman, Kaze, and Johnster.* **Notes:** 1. Japanese Broadcast Audio is sourced from BSFuji rebroadcasts that have recently aired in Japan. OPs/EDs were replaced with higher quality versions. Episodes 1-4 are presented in dual mono to accomodate the stereo OP/EDs. Episodes 5-64 were broadcast in stereo and are presented as such. 2. The "Remastered" Dub with original Tokunaga score is sourced from the Green Bricks and was originally synced using the dragon-radar by Brundlefly. I re-timed the OPs to match the timings on the Japanese track and added Japanese NEPs for consistency with our other releases. 3. The original FUNi dub with Mark Menza replacement score is presented in two different tracks - the first track mimics the presentation of the Green Bricks by including English language covers of the Japanese OP and EDs. The second track replaces the OP/EDs with extended versions of the "Step Into The Grand Tour" OP/EDs. English NEPs are included on both tracks. Other than the OP/EDs the two tracks are identical. 4. For the GT TV special, no broadcast audio is included as the Dragon Box audio is actually higher quality than usual. In addition, all FUNi dub tracks are presented in 5.1 surround. AB Groupe's "Big Green" dub of the special is also included. ### Subtitles | Episodes | Style | Format | Timings | Styler |:--------:|:-------------------------------------------------------:|:------:|:-----:|:-----:| | 1-64, SP | Stylized OP/ED, OP Credits, Titles, Inserts, and Dialogue | ASS | sangofe | corre / iKaos | 1-64, SP | Stylized OP/ED, OP Credits, Titles, Inserts, and NEPs | ASS | corre | corre / iKaos | 1-64, SP | Basic Subtitles | SRT | Isaac | iKaos | 1-64, SP | English Dubtitles | ASS | OnionEclipse | mgold0704 *OP credits timed and stylized by dubudavid. Names and romanization contributions from AnimeAjay, dubudavid, corre, Johnster, Herms, and SaiyaJedi.* **Notes:** 1. The dialogue for all subs are based on Steve Simmons's official FUNi translation, however extensive changes to timings and some names were done by **sangofe** as part of his work with GTeam. Extensive changes were also made to OP and ED song translations and name romanizations in an effort to preserve accuracy and puns/double meanings. Name changes previously done for DB and Z carry over here*. 2. corre has done extensive work on stylizing the OP, ED, episode titles and signs to look similar to the Japanese text. He also recreated the original credits scroll from episode 64 that was left out of the DBOX. See [here](https://imgur.com/a/au7sVch) 3. If stylized subs aren't your thing, I have included more basic subs for those who want them. These have the same name and romanization changes as the stylized subs. One difference from the basic subs in previous releases is that they are now provided in raw SRT format for compatibility. 4. **For best stylized sub viewing, please use the VSFilter renderer on MPC-HC, or MPV.** Link for [MPV on PC](https://mega.nz/file/mZ0XFQjL#A8nCYQPeL9kLUHPgRufcs6dl9JGDmKuFEqhTUf2_oHM) / Link for [MPV on Mac](https://mega.nz/file/iZ0iWL7T#r9rna07v7Qljrumn8cWgTlYt1ix9pXqRxM3CG2ov9zk) / Link for [MPC-HC](https://github.com/clsid2/mpc-hc/releases) / Link for [VSFilter](https://www.videohelp.com/software/VSFilter-DirectVobSub). 5. English dubtitles for the series were synced by OnionEclipse and stylized by mgold0704 while the special was OCRed and timed by me. All dubtitles are timed and contain the dialogue for the original FUNi dub and are meant to be viewed with the cover OP/EDs (track 3). ### Extras I've collected a few supplemental things, although it is by no means completely exhaustive. 1. **English OPs, EDs, Promos:** various promotional materials related to the English dubs. Most of these things came from YouTube, TV Rips, or official DVDs. 2. **JPN Previews:** previews and promotional materials related to the Japanese release, including NEPs that were only broadcast on TV and not included on the Dragon Box, various commercials and previews both in their original state when available, or as recreated by fans when necessary. 3. **Miscellaneous Specials:** a few random specials related to GT, including the English-only recap episode, a live stage show, and the original credits scroll from episode 64. 4. NCOPs-NCEDs: no-credit OPs and EDs taken from the highest quality sources available (Dragon Box and some fan-recreations). While the source I found these recreations on had no credits, I believe most were done by **yugidmx5.** ### Thanks A lot of people helped make this a reality. Thanks in particular to JySzE, dubudavid, AnimeAjay, Deli, ergiman, corre, Johnster, OnionEclipse, mgold0704, sangofe and the original GTeam group, ### Possible Questions **Why is the video larger than a remux? Why do you guys insist on making me buy a hard drive?** This is intended to be an archival release, so a lot of work was done to the video in order to preserve and retain as much grain as possible, which in turn leads to a larger file size. I do plan on releasing a smaller encode eventually. **All these English dubs, where is the Blue Water Dub?** Beyond the fact that I personally have little interest in the dub, for some reason it is incredibly hard to find someone willing to dedicate time to creating a sync that is R2J timed. As with Westwood the offer is always available to include a synced UK dub if someone were to actually do more than a few episodes before disappearing. **What media player do you recommend?** SoM recommends that you use our configuration of MPV.net with Spline36 scaling enabled for viewing our releases. Link for [MPV on PC](https://mega.nz/file/mZ0XFQjL#A8nCYQPeL9kLUHPgRufcs6dl9JGDmKuFEqhTUf2_oHM) / Link for [MPV on Mac](https://mega.nz/file/iZ0iWL7T#r9rna07v7Qljrumn8cWgTlYt1ix9pXqRxM3CG2ov9zk) **The subtitles don't look right!** Make sure you're using MPV, or MPC with VSFilter. You can find VSFilter [here](https://www.videohelp.com/software/VSFilter-DirectVobSub). While other players or configurations may work, different players handle blur and sizing differently and so your results may look different than those presented in the example. ### Release Roadmap With GT being completed I'd like to share an update on what comes next. Note that I am *not* providing any release dates or any ETA here. 1. **Dragon Ball v3:** Since our initial Dragon Ball release last year great progress has been made with regards to video quality improvement and standardization of subtitles and stylings across all of our releases. Our next release is projected to be an update to our Dragon Ball torrent, which will contain the following: Standardized subtitle stylings including proper placement of karaoke dialogue and adjustments to naming conventions and stylings, Upgraded video with improvements to grain retention, updated Harmony Gold audio based on the restoration work done by Tom_Servo, along with a few other smaller fixes. 2. **Dragon Ball Z Level Sets v4:** A much needed update to my older level set encodes, completely redone from the ground up and including all new audio tracks as presented in our batch release of Z. 3. **Dragon Ball/Z Movies:** This is still on our agenda however due to do various reasons it has moved down on the release timeline. Work is still progressing steadily on audio and subtitle syncs. 4. **Dragon Ball/Z Color Correction:** Yes, this is still being worked on, no I don't have an updated time table. I mention it here only because someone will ask if I don't.

SoM and crew, not the heroes this fandom deserved, but the heroes this fandom needed! SoM setting the standard of quality, attention to detail, and perseverance. This is what it looks like when people come together, get to work, and leave the drama at the door. Looking forward to an even better and brighter future for the DB fandom.
Thanks for including the gteam subs!
thank u Ikaos and Som may God Bless u guys, i hope that someday you or anyone can make a smaller encode like 600-800mb each episode for the whole dragonnball saga while keeping these many audio intact each releases, but for this one whole big saga good job and appreciate u guys for doing something that funi so stingy to make in their releases.

iKaos/SoM - the true Dragon Ball Heroes
Oh my god finally! Thank you so much. After the movies, will this be the last Dragonball/Toriyama related project from you guys? Any chance for the Doctor Slump Series?
Did you guys use the broadcast audio for the NEP on episode 41 from this torrent? https://nyaa.si/view/1230042 The uploader claims the following... "Old .avi of Animax is included for Episode 41 because the Next Episode Preview on the current TV masters uses optical audio whereas the older ones did not. This is most likely due to the preview originally being on the DBGT TV Special." Also, will you consider doing Kai? If not, will you at least please upload the raw JP BDs of Kai 1.0 (Both Kikuchi and Yamamoto versions)? Thank you very much for the upload and all of your hard work.

@Damned No, our BA is from a better, newer source. There are no plans for Kai at this time.
That one specific preview is from that avi file though. It was an oversight when, whoever was in charge of dubbing back then, placed the old audio to the new footage. For some reason, they also assumed the Dragon Box version of the op and ed music sounds better and used them for the current broadcast versions too, while the opposite is the case.
@ikaos Understood. Would you at least consider re-uploading the torrent I mentioned in my previous post?
@Damned You can find Kai in a lot of different places and well as a "Yamamoto Revival" project if you look that up which restores the soundtrack to the audio files for the English track. If you dig enough, all of Kai is available. And, since the video quality is dog shit, you don't really have to be picky on where you find it.
Broadcast audio "provided by SOM TC"? provider is Akai thanks to him
ohhh yeah ive been waiting on this! and the flac audio is next level! thanks <3
@damned >Did you guys use the broadcast audio for the NEP on episode 41 from this torrent? Yes we did use ep 41's nep from the old .avi cap. Akai and HKB both had warned both I and the audio syncer deli of this but I don't think I relayed this info to iKaos. ___ @dbfan120 I had received the BSFuji eps 1 - 30 from HKB another known BA audio leaker and then received the rest 31 - 64 from Akai. Both of which were SoM TC members at the time of receiving them.
I'm gonna piggyback this post like a jerk and ask again if anyone has found or knows where I can find all 27 episodes of the Bang Zoom dub of Dragon Ball Super in their captured, smooshed 4:3 glory? I'm missing 4 episodes and it's driving me insane.
Thank you so much!!!
Where's Team Mirolo new torrent? i don't see it anymore
@dbfan120 Should be back now they just had to fix some stuff
MPV player was suggested and played all my anime better, but crashes frequently with various shows. Any ideas or places to send me for fixes? I like the simplicity and how it runs pretty much everything just like VLC.
thank you bros
Thank you thank you thank you. Was sad that GTeam was never able to complete their release but this will do just nicely. <3
Thanks so much! Thanks to all who made this possible!
Chouonsoku: our subs were used and I believe our sync as base for this.
How much of this, along with the SoM release of DB and Z, can fit into a USB flash drive? Instead of burning these onto discs, I'm thinking about putting these onto a couple of flash drives instead.
@iKaos Thank you guys for all your hours. I now have all 3 series'. This is God's work. A true labor of love.
Please seed!!!!!
Does anyone know where to find the corresponding Dragon Book?
damn how did i miss this?, wonder if the wma version of the bluewater dubll work
How does one seed exactly? I'm in the process of downloading the entire anime run at the moment.
if someone here is disappointed by colors and wants to do white balance on them, you can find here a tutorial made by Enigmo using Vegas 18 Enjoy it https://www49.zippyshare.com/v/kwMqGZoY/file.html
