Orphan presents a new version of the 1986 Rumic World OVA, *Za Choujo (Supergal)*, more familiarly known as *Maris the Choujo*. New encode based on a Domesday Duplicator rip of a Japanese laserdisc; FLAC audio. Kotomi subs, with translation checking. See [this blog entry](https://collectr.blogspot.com/2021/06/maris-choujo.html) for more details.

A cautionary tale about the hazards of superpowers in an ordinary world, and a hoot from start to finish.

Actually, Kotomi didn't translate this, they ripped the subs from the official vhs release (actually, transcribed them to notepad, at the time the encoder didn't know how to ocd the subs, it was their first independent release after doing the same for coldlight's Nanoha StrikerS release previously...). And rather than encoder, muxer as they only slapped the subs to the raw, the first real encode was Magical? Pokaan. Unfortunately and the reason being was that that one wasn't straight from discs but an avi source with troublesome codecs so couldn't be muxed straight to mkv so video had to be re-encoded...
