Mostly boils down to higher bitrate, wakanim preserving the grain during the flashback scenes far better than funi's old encode (comparison 8/10), and more conservative antialiasing leading to a bit more sharpness

did people forget the remake rules? putting someone else's subs on a "better" encode of the same kind of source is a remake.
also i really doubt amazon's audio is better since it has less bitrate and is a worse codec than funi's.

uh, "remux" can definitely mean same subs + different video. what. the rule exists to stop people from making tons of pointless releases with some aspect that's slightly "better" in their opinion. it doesn't apply to different kinds of sources so people can use existing subs from a web/TV release for BDs since that's an actual improvement almost every time.
and other people getting away with it isn't really an excuse.
