Dragon Ball Z was first dubbed in English by the "Ocean Productions" studio from Vancouver. This was an edited, 53-episode dub that was the first exposure to "Dragon Ball Z" for many, primarily viewed in America on Toonami. Eventually, however, they would be replaced with the Funimation voice cast. The Ocean dub was my first experience with the show. Due to my love for the Ocean dub, I decided to sync the first episode's audio to the "Dragon Box Merge" project that was done by Seed of Might. This is available at: [Dragon Ball Z - Dragon Box Merge](https://nyaa.si/view/1331089)
I had been working on this for a week, but I felt inspired to release this after seeing a "Ocean on Dragon Box" upload that was notably low-quality. I hope you enjoy this, instead.
There is no promise for a complete release. This was purely done out of boredom, but I consider this upload to be my preferred way of watching Episode 01 of the Ocean dub.

@Damned
Hi, there aren't any visual edits. Unfortunately, I decided that this would take up a lot of time. I also have never done visual edits, so I do not believe they would look very good. On top of that, it would be me editing on top of the visual grain. I don't think that would look very good.
I recommend the RTD boxset for watching with visual edits and decent quality.
Love this! I'll admit I never really found much love for the dragon box videos, wish you used the Level Sets for this but I'm glad someone is undertaking the ocean dub to better footage. thank you! hope you keep doing more of these.
Shalom.
This is lovely, please keep it coming. The Saban dub needs more love as officially the schumcks couldn't careless for it.
Bye now.
@ Eckhart
I agree, but remember, the Levels only cover the Saiyan arc, not the Frieza arc. It's for the sake of consistency, I'd say.
@Impakt
To restate the description, I dunno if it'll be continued. Kinda busy. But if I do, I'll do it with an even better export for new episodes.
Thanks for the kind words.
@Mdsn
Rock The Dragon features a few lines referencing death.
Roshi adds "I smell death in the air."
Chi-Chi says, "...I'm gonna worry myself to death."
Pretty PG stuff, imo, but they're only from the Rock The Dragon boxset. For episodes 1, 2, and 3.
So if you wonder why I put Pioneer audio first, it's because it's higher quality. But if you want the uncensored voicelines, RTD is track 2.
