Yo EoE encode? pog. Pretty dumb show tbh, this was one of the only ones this season that I ended up watching sort of weekly. Encoding was annoying, but overall straightforward. Rescaling ended up being impossible: the native res is most likely 1556x855.5, however in some areas there appreas to have been some minor warping which caused some interesting haloing during the rescale. Since the picture is fairly clear as is, I decided that a somewhat strong AA would be enough to deal with the remaining issues instead of brute forcing a dehalo. Other than that, the usual dehalo, deband ect applies. The only other point of interest is that this originally had a fairly consistant grain over the whole thing, which I did attempt to add back, though of course x265 isn't a big fan of that. I'm definately looking forward to av1 being viable - grain synthesis is pretty cool.
