well a few second of both side are separated, suppose Takarajima message at initial appearance and dead-end black. No chapter menu is available, and no chapter marks are set in main chapter (whole movie as single chapter). Exactly no decoration :-( no TV version adv., no song-only section, no pic-only section.

The DVD is discontinued in japan? It must be rare to find, i check amazon, you can't buy, even second hand, nothing.. Do you know any good websites for japanese DVD or BluRay, i like to collect old japanese animation.

glm8892 In Japan, we used to use Winny file sharing software, not bittorrent, because Winny was not traceable (not anymore). There might be some old anime in there, but I don't use it nor tried to find anime in Winny world decades ago. Most of them were not anymore in DVD shops nor in used-DVD shops. Like Nils, most of Japanese love new ones. Only some love old anime, like Akira. We don't see in TV, as sponsors like new ones. Once somebody shared [トム・ソーヤーの冒険] "The adventures of Tom Sawyer" (1980), [ふしぎなメルモ] "Marvelous Melmo" (1971) and [ふしぎな島のフローネ] "Flone in the miracle island" (1980s ?), Moomin (Finnish Mooni) (shared was 1972). But only few of Tezuka animations are fould in torrent. But once "Japanese Animated Film Classic - Archives" (1917-1941) was shared in torrent.

@terve2, Where i live, it's very rare and hard to find classic old animation, especially from japan, online is the only way to find rare old classic animation nowadays, but the problem is it's very expensive if you want a physical copy, it's easy to get a torrent copy though :) Thanks also for sharing the theater version, It's better to share these stuff let others see and enjoy them.

Yeah, I really like Osamu Tezuka animations, i try to collect any of his work, but very hard to find. [トム・ソーヤーの冒険] “The adventures of Tom Sawyer” (1980) [ふしぎなメルモ] "Marvelous Melmo" (1971) [ふしぎな島のフローネ] “Flone in the miracle island” (1980s ?) Moomin (Finnish Mooni) (shared was 1972) These series are pretty rare, but i think i seen some of these before on nyaa, i uploaded, The adventures of Tom Sawyer (1980) in HD 720p but it's english version, there is also a JPN version on here if you like to see it. Nausika is that, "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" in english? Great film but Hayao Miyazaki, all Studio Ghibli are films are very good, but i don't like how they made new 3D CG movie "Earwig and The Witch", it is bad move, it's best to stick to traditional hand drawn style. That's what makes Studio Ghibli stand out, i know it's a lot of work, but in the end it looks like masterpiece painting. Japanese animation has really changed, i prefer the old school japanese animation to be honest, i am not really interested in new generation animation, unless it's something unique and different. Akira in 4k looks very nice. I tend to collect old japanese animation especially from, World Masterpiece Theater series, the classics series, not the new ones. I also like classic, Nippon animation :)

Just wondering has japan government blocked torreting I'm asking because I'm always seeding on my torrent files, but when i see japanese peers connect and start to download from me, it takes them a very long time? :( but some japanese peers can download normal/fast, and others download very slow, it's mostly japanese peers, other countries download fast and normal? i wonder if japan blocked torrent?

In Japan, we do use rapid connections but slowed very much because of sharing same fiber with several tens to hundreds of families. In house, wi-fi connection is normal, and me, too. In mig-night, torrent download reaches to 4MB/s whereas busy time at 9 pm-10 pm, rate drops to 50-300kB/s.

glm8892 glad to know :-) sharing 3.0 and waiting till 5.0. I'm over 50, and in childhood, it was just turning point of gray to color (home TV). Your sharing Lupin the III was played in high school era. I know mostly in 1960s (re-broadcasting) and 1970s, and early half of 1980s. After that I saw american and european movies (played in midnight till 4:00 AM) so no animations anymore except "Akira". "999" and "Yamato" (Reiji Matsumoto) were major ones. "Karimero" (chick with egg-shell on head) might be my first animation (I waw it in Germany in 21st century). "Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima" was not anymore played, though it is very famous in Japan. We don't care of old animes. We sold "Moomin" to Italian company. I don't know why, but we watch american films rather than Kurosama.

@terve2, it's a shame japanese animation what has became of it today :(, because I'm a very big fan of japanese animation, but the animation in todays generation has really changed, i don't like the art style and it's no longer classic hand drawn, there are some films classic hand drawn but most are CG, and look the same like western animation, i don't like the look. I find the golden years of japanese animation was the 80s and early 90s. 60s 70s had also some of the best animation made. After 2000s it fully changed :/ Lupin the 3rd is so popular in every country, my favorite is, The Castle of Cagliostro (1979), but i like most of the classic lupin series in general. “Akira”. “999” and “Yamato” are very good classic series, these are some of my favorite series, Rintaro, i believe directed Galaxy Express 999, beautiful film. Katsuhiro Otomo films, have you seen, Memories (1995) Steamboy (2004) his films are all good. I didn't know Moomin was brought by Italian company? Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima, Only Yesterday, is another classic i also like, all Studio Ghibli films are work of art. "After that I saw american and european movies" Do you know the film, Melody (1971) i ask because this film was very popular in japan :) i have the BluRay i will upload it on here sometime, so japanese can re-watch it as i know it's very popular in japan back than and still is i think. It has songs from the Bee Gees. I don't just like japanese animation, I've seen also a lot of japanese classic films, mostly, Akira Kurosawa movies, i also like, Takashi Miike films. Toshiro Mifune is one of my favorite japanese actors, i find him much cooler than Clint Eastwood.

In Japan, just like doctoral degrees, we have very poor philosophy with us. Our doctoral degree in University is much like PhD without Ph. That's making us rather difficult to understand French films. We have Kurosawa films and Takeshi Kitano's. But majority of Japanese would not make understanding beyond their films. Similarly, for animation films, like Hotaru no Haka, it is hard to understand. Italian "Sunflower" is similar manner. No experiences no understandings. I loved to watch midnight movies on TV, where various French films were played. I could learn what is philosophy. It is pity that no more such programs are on TV. No old animations, no Kurosawas.

Hotaru no Haka, Grave of the Fireflies is very famous movie by, Isao Takahata. I really like Isao Takahata "Anne of Green Gables (1979)" one of my favorite works by him. Are you talking about Sunflower (1970), I have seen a lot of Italian films, but mostly spaghetti western by Sergio Leone.
