furking bloat, seasmoke u suckz
Judas and 712 mb hmm... No problem for me but that's interesting...
It's probably larger because it didn't look great last week, at least imo.

>712mb hmmmmmmmm The last two were sub200 while s2p1 had no wacky outliers so this is unexpected. Why is it like this? Judas has pushed wackily larger encodes before but this is more than twice the average of s2p1. I don't mean to sound rude like the other guy above, but why release it if it's outside the usual? I read a reply from Judas or someone involved that the work is premised on small file-sized HEVC where others weren't releasing goodly enough or at all. This is a complete break from that. I can get slacking or incompetence, everybody needs their time and everybody has yet to learn everything, but why release it? Wouldn't it be better to grind through to completion and nvm check it everyone's a bit inflated: /?f=0&c=1_2&q=re+zero+hevc+1080
Thank-you for this multisubs episode the Team ;)
awww it's too big :( thnx btw
lol... Don't insult "HEVC"
What were you smoking during the encode?
Half of the episode was a grainy mess by design, it takes more bits to preserve that. I'm not gonna defend this release but I won't throw shit at them from the bandwagon either. There are 17 other encodes of the same episode right now, choose a different one this week if you don't like this. Everybody will (and should) store the BD release anyway so the drama is unnecessary.

Imagine if I didn't write the note in description about the episode length. Anyway, this time there are many grainy scenes like @menpe said, if 712mb for one episode on 24 is still too much then feel free to take another encode. Not trying to sound rude, I don't win anything if users get my torrents instead of someone else's so I really don't mind. Few weeks ago on my server someone posted this comparison between most of the Re-Zero mini-encodes, give it a look https://slow.pics/c/wIREHUeL Especially the third pic, on left side of Subaru's hair.
Kinda expected from Nyaa users, toxic and ungrateful af. Thanks for the release as always, Judas

I've taken a look at this episode myself to work out exactly what went wrong. Lucky for me, we keep data files for all encodes, so I have a nice graph to look at: ![The graph](https://i.imgur.com/GCFIGGd.png) POC is the frame number, and bits is the number of bits to store that frame. The first peak between frames ~2100-5000 is the omegagrainy section near the start of the episode ([this](https://i.imgur.com/YLk9mkN.png)), and it takes up around 272 MiB of the video stream (that's just under 40% of the total size). After that, you can see that whilst the bitrate is lower, it's still fairly high right up to around frame 17000. This is due to some horizontal grain ([this](https://i.imgur.com/PF4BXca.png)), and it takes up another 268 MiB. Other than a couple of action scenes, the rest of this episode is basically just a powerpoint presentation in the dark, so you can see that the last 15,000 frames take up very little space. I might look at redoing this for the batch because pepega grain like this really needs its own filterchain and x265 settings. Or not, I'll probably forget. Anyway this show was Sea's responsibilty so blame him :dek: TL;DR: two different types of heavy dynamic grain bloated this episode by ~540 MiB.
Woah just download another encode why so mad.
