Thanks for the release! I watched it with the J-Subs, and I think they're about 600ms off (too late), but that's probably just a quirk of the original broadcast. I personally really enjoyed the film, and although I still obviously prefer the traditional animation, I'm not opposed to the studio dabbling in full 3D occasionally. Reminds me a bit of Houseki no Kuni, which had a lot of haters, but which I thought was gorgeous.

@glm8892 it was a directorial decision. Goro and Hayao Miyazaki are two different directors with different tastes. i don't think it was a trend-following decision, but more rooted in artistic intention. i'm not a fan of this movie, but i value it's independence from Hayao's catalogue, and i'm sympathetic to the notion that Goro shouldn't face so much pressure to fill his father's shoes.
