@Texto, I assume you're talking about me? Do you fail to understand that the Nezumi-raws encode is made from the DVDs? They then upscaled that, all while running filters to try and make it look like a modern anime so it would appeal to the lowest common denominator - a.k.a. you. This show is in no shape or form intended to look the way that Nezumi made it look. @glm8892, Thank you for continuing your uploads of this.

@Texto, i read back of BluRay cover, it says, Video: 1:33:1 Full Frame (OAR) / 480p Standard Definition. If they properly remastered this classic, it would be very expensive... It's sad a lot of good classics are SD to BD, The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Dororo 1969, Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier, Fist of the North Star. I hope one day they get a proper remastered release.

@glm8892 you are right. Doesn't that mean Nezumi is better than this anyway? I HOPE! Did you look at the episodes I uploaded? Do you want to upload? I can upload, you can share pictures side by side. Let's see what the others think? Because no one looks at Nezumi properly, they can easily say that it is trash. Standard Definition has no advantage over Nezumi.

@Texto, i prefer the original standard definition, Nezumi version is interesting, as i like to see how users upscale old classic series, i tend to see on youtube upscale videos of old animation, or old videos in general, but it's not the original real source, that's why a lot of people don't like it. I just recently downloaded it, i also took side by side pictures, it would be very interesting what other people think. I can still upload it if you want, but are you going to upload the rest?

@JackAssborn, which subs are you referring to? Nezumi version doesn't have english subs, Texto wants me to mux the BluRay english subtitle with Nezumi Raw, it can be done as i have checked some episodes, I'm sure they can sync properly. Did you also check out Nezumi encoded version, what do you think of it?

I played both files simultaneously, with the same half of each on the left and right screen halves. At all comparisons The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (1980) (ニルスのふしぎな旅) E03 BluRay Remux [glm8892].mkv and The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (1980) (ニルスのふしぎな旅) E04 BluRay Remux [glm8892].mkv were absolutely far better. This was especially obvious in larger, zoomed out, wide angle sceneries, like open nature, lakes, and forests, and such. The image deep, its dynamic range, was far deeper and better than with Wonderful.Adventures.of.Nils.TV.1980.DVDRip-Hi.x264.AC3.1024.EP03-nezumi.mkv and Wonderful.Adventures.of.Nils.TV.1980.DVDRip-Hi.x264.AC3.1024.EP04-nezumi.mkv, which were kinda flat. So: I choose The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (1980) (ニルスのふしぎな旅) E03 BluRay Remux [glm8892].mkv and The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (1980) (ニルスのふしぎな旅) E04 BluRay Remux [glm8892].mkv for sure.

@JackAssborn, it's nice to know your grandchildren are watching this, it's a great classic animation show for all ages, children and adults it doesn't matter, it teaches a lot of morals which most anime today are missing. I would highly recommend your grandchildren also watch any World Masterpiece Theater series. World Masterpiece Theater series was the sole reason why i even bothered to get myself registered on nyaa. I wanted to thank the users who ever uploaded them on here, as they are very rare and hard to find, especially trying to buy physical copies of them, it's too expensive and hard to get.

I have quite some World Masterpiece Theater series, well, and I kinda thought I had them all. But I actually didn't know of this Nils Holgerson; as this very anime, I mean. The book (and other adaptions) I know, of course. My first World Masterpiece Theater is Akage no An (Anne of Green Gables), of 1979. I always loved it. So did my children, and now their children. :) Keep up your well-done work! <3

@JackAssborn, Anne of Green Gables (1979) is one of my favorite World Masterpiece Theater series. I uploaded both jpn and eng of the film a few weeks ago on here, i personally prefer the series over the film. What's funny is I've also seen the other adaptation on films, Anne of Green Gables 1934 black and white, and 1985, the 1985 2 part series film is ok, but out of all the adaptation, the best is actually the animated 1979 series, i feel sorry for people that have not seen it, or don't give it a chance because it's animated, it's actually the best adaptation close to the book.

@glm8892 I agree, the 50-episodes series of 1979 is the very best. (But the film of 2010, which you uploaded, isn't that just a few compiled episodes of the 1979 series?)

@JackAssborn, yeah the 2010 film of Anne of Green Gables: Road to Green Gables is just a compilation of the 1979 series, it doesn't even show everything, only some parts, that's why i said in the thread i uploaded best to watch the 50 episode series instead, you will enjoy it more than the film if you're new to Anne of Green Gables 1979 animation. Anne of Green Gables 1979 animation > Anne of Green Gables 1985 live action, the black and white 1934 is ok but still really isn't that great compared to the other 2.
