This is a compilation of the Black Clover Re-Edit done by Rg90184 on Bitchute. The stated goal was to bring the pacing of the anime closer in line to that of the manga, while changing filler arcs into cannon OVAs. Below is the rational and explanation of the project by it's creator before it went on hiatus after 42 completed episodes (ending at the beginning of the fight between the Wizard King and Licht)

In October of 2017, Black Clover relased to a hungry audience that was hyped with great titles like HeroAca and releasing alongside fantastic works like Magus Bride and Gundam Thunderbolt (That soundtrack though!) And one of the main complaints that almost every reviewer under the sun has brought up against it, (Aside from the obvious) was the pacing.
By a sharp contrast, the Manga has damn near breakneck pacing. So, I decided to take inspiration from Dragonball Kai, One Pace and the Naruto Kai Recut and try to fix that, with a few differences from how the crew at Onepace and reddit user /u/Kloggmankey
approached their re-cuts.
For one, I'm keeping each episode to a reasonable length (~30-38 minutes) and I'll be keeping the company logos at the start of each episode, opening song, end credits, and Clover Clips.
Episode recaps will be cut, as will the opening narration about the wizard king and the demon, and each mid episode title card.
Repeated scenes will be cut and with a few exceptions, filler scenes will be cut entirely, with the exception of scenes that cannot be cut around. An example would be during the Star Festival when Vanessa challenges Charlotte to a drinking contest, in the manga, this is the first challenge issued by Vanessa, although in the anime she is dressed as a nun after a filler costume contest.
Other edits, minor and major will be made to speed things along, or compensate for moments of powerpoint level animation (Asta vs Rades for example.)
To give you an idea of just how much bloat is in studio Pierro's adaptation (Which, after they handled Naruto and Bleach, should surprise nobody), by following the manga in an attempt to make a closer translation I've managed to cut 80 22 minute episodes down to 37 ~34 minute episodes so far. 3/4s of episode 2 was cut, for example.
Now, why am I doing this? Because I started watching the anime thinking it was a dumpster fire, but as time went on, i grew to like it. There was a heart buried beneath what felt like a handful of shounen series from the past two decades put through a blender, I became curious as to what happened next enough to start reading the manga, from the start and found the incredibly quick pacing refreshing and exhilarating.
the blender nature of the show is by design to be used as a shorthand. You already know how all of these shounen elements work, so they can just throw what your inner shounen trash wants at you, because you know you want it.
Now, I'm sure by now you've noticed something about the clips I've been using. Another difference from Naruto Kai and One Pace is that I'll be using the english dub. this is for a couple of reasons. Chopping around and rewriting subtitles is a fair bit of hassle (And mad props to the guys that do it), the funimation cast does a more than serviceable job, and.. ~sigh.. I'm going to be watching this footage a lot in order to edit it, I'd rather not blow out my eardrums listening to Asta's screams. I'll take Dallas Reid's less earsplitting rendition for my own sanity and mental health.
As far as an upload schedule. This project will up updated in batches after each arc finishes.
This is a non-profit fan based fan-edit. Black Clover is owned by Studio Pierrot, Funimation, TV Tokyo, Viz Media, Shueisha, and Yūki Tabata. Please support the official release.
Streaming options for this re-cut are limited due to copyright restrictions and the series is currently being hosted on Bitchute.
