Website's down :( , and I got banned from HorribleSubs's website (that's still on for whatever reason) because I said Erai's better anyway lmfao HS probably thought people would mourn them for years and not bounce back within days and completely forget them I guess
looks like the hater cowards are now resorting to ddos attacks
why would you even go to HS website and say Erai is better, you should be happy you get anime for free
Site is down I can't even enter now 404 not found...
Erai is better. HS just did what he did because he wanted people to pay/donate more money to him. Guess he forgot CR has hundreds of thousands of subscribers who can rip. The anime torrenting scene was way more interesting before HS ever rolled around anyway. The guy who ran HS isn't even the original person to, and it's all scripts that do all the work, automatic rip, automatic upload, etc.
Well the fansub stuff was great yes, but in the end everyone would prefer the ripping thats going on now. With all the simulcasts etc we get anime for free instantly as they go online. Back in the old days groups battled for who is first to release a episode. Sure that was fun to watch but in the end right now we get everything super fast. Groups back then even dropped animes in the middle if the anime got licensed so people had to watch RAWs or wait for anonym groups to resume where other groups left, not everything was perfect back in the day. So I prefer it right now.
o4tku: They (Rowan) said it was more "interesting", not "better", and I'd agree with that sentiment too. Sure, things weren't perfect, but that's kind of a fun aspect of it - you got to see people working on projects, witness people's Japanese or English improve throughout a show's season(s), and you could give feedback that they could learn from (or offer your own help, if you wanted). It was neat and somewhat personal - completely unlike what we have today which is very sterilized and clinical
