Orphan presents the first English version of the 2003 TV special *Tako ni Natta Okaasan* (*The Mother Who Became a Kite*). This is the second show in Shin-Ei Animation’s *Sensou Douwa* (*War Fables*) series. It is based on a short story by Nosaka Akiyuki, who also wrote *The Grave of the Fireflies*.
