Not much is changed in the translation. The subs from 7 years ago are mostly fine. What I did was create a new raw, based mostly (but not entirely) on the remastered airing from a couple days ago, and adjust the existing subs to it, with a little primping and polishing to bring them up to my current standards, and to improve a couple lines.

Is it not worth 720p? Thanks, looks much better than the previous one, it'd have been nice if you did this to all remastered episodes since they'd have better HD vibrant color footage compared to bad dvd 'SD' colors

I've started doing it with some episodes. 153-154 also features remastered footage. I know jmae was cooling down after working on Hi Score Girl II. My understanding is his next project will probably be Conan-related.

Do you know if crunchyroll streams for earlier eps are funimation dvd masters or actual HD remasters?

As far as I can tell, they're not really either. They're TMS's own (SD) masters with Funimation's subs.

So did you splice in remastered footage where unedited for https://nyaa.si/view/1095397 ? back then I had thought it was weird that you made a SD rip, which has mediocre colors, since you had released hd eps, while you could have just used downscaled and used remastered footage.

That's exactly what I did: where the remastered footage exists, that's what I used. You can tell the difference - it's pretty stark.

BTW just saying, you guys could've spliced in remastered BD footage in mewtwo strikes back Theatrical version(Some-Stuffs release) as well where the footage was same, and kept LD footage where needed (ie: original traditional hand drawn scenes)
