# ~ The Pantsu presents ~ ## Fixing typeset mistakes by Erai-raws: Remuxed .ssa/.ass with better main font OpenSans. Missing font files are attached to the mkv. I won't do 480p/720p for remuxing at this point. Maybe later when automation is about ~90% done. If possible I would like to get some help from guys with a bit more spare time in coding and a linux seedbox, just join my channel **#Pantsu** at Rizon. Status of automation scripts: Done: 1.) Extract all attached subtitles from the mkv file [Python] 2.) Calculate CRC32 / Rename File / Create Torrentfile [Bash] Todo: 1.) Replace SSA/ASS Styles based on templates automatically [Python] 2.) Mux mkv back with fixed styles and proper subtitle order [Bash/Python] ## Technical things: Tagging used: `[GroupName]_Series_Name_-_01_[1080p][CRC32].mkv` `[GroupName]_Series_Name_-_01v2_[1080p][CRC32].mkv` `[GroupName]_Series_Name_S2_-_01_[1080p][CRC32].mkv` or `[GroupName]_Series_Name_III_-_01_[1080p][CRC32].mkv` Here are the SSA/ASS styles for certain resampled resolutions: Based on old HorribleSubs! > PlayResX: 848 PlayResY: 480 > Style: Default,Open Sans Semibold,36,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00020713,&H00000000,-1,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,1.7,0,2,0,0,28,1 > PlayResX: 1280 PlayResY: 720 > Style: Default,Open Sans Semibold,54,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00020713,&H00000000,-1,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2.6,0,2,0,0,42,1 > PlayResX: 1920 PlayResY: 1080 > Style: Default,Open Sans Semibold,81,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00020713,&H00000000,-1,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,3.8,0,2,0,0,63,1 Here are the Fonts which are commonly used and they will be attached by default: > 280K Arial_Bold.ttf > 220K OpenSans-Semibold.ttf > 220K open-sans.extrabold.ttf > 220K open-sans.light.ttf > 108K open-sans-semibold-italic.ttf > 120K Tahoma Faux Italic.ttf > 212K Tahoma.ttf > 328K Times_New_Roman_Bold.ttf > 124K Trebuchet_MS.ttf > 124K Trebuchet_MS_Bold.ttf > 140K Trebuchet_MS_Italic.ttf > 140K Verdana.ttf Notice: Multiple subtitles if available will be kept in proper order! oh, that is a really nice release, thank you! can I make a little request though? can you add the line "ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes" to your script? without this line the font outline gets thinner the higher the resolution gets - like in erai raws releases if your monitor has a very low resolution the outlines get extreeemly thick with very high resolutions the outline extreemly thin
I was already fiddling around myself manually modifying it, but forgot here and there some stuff and it wasn't as good as your release and not automated. I just saw now that you automated it and optimized it for a higher resolution. So I testes it adding the line "ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes" Here is a comparison picture for your release with and without the line: left your release - right your release with the line "ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes" in a low resolution https://www.imageupload.net/image/compare.PNKRa
another example in a high resolution - 2160p https://www.imageupload.net/image/compare-2.PNkE1 with the line "ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes" it still stays the same - but without on the left side it really gets extremely thin
I know 4k and 8k resolution aren't that common so far, but in a few years they will be I guess pretty sure on a 8K monitor the font outline will be so thin it is unreadable http://www.napavalleytv.org/blog/2017/01/29/whatthek/ it is 4320p after all
I mean okay, that issue does not occur with every media player - like VLC But many other players get extemely thin outlines like mpc-hc, mpc-be, mpc-hc-x64 and mpv But it works on all players correctly if “ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes” is present
