However, in exchange, she will become a magical girl and must put her life on the line to slay fearsome and ferocious witches. Iroha Tamaki, a kind-hearted middle schooler from Takarazaki City, is living proof that these rumors are true. Armed with a magical crossbow and the ability to heal injuries, Iroha seeks out the labyrinths where witches hide and defeats them before they can prey on humans. Yet Iroha has no memory of her wish, and even Kyuubey, the white fairy himself, seems to have no idea what Iroha requested of him. One day, Iroha hears rumors of a city where "magical girls can be saved," and finds herself on a sunset train to Kamihama City. Unfortunately, she discovers that the witches in Kamihama are far more powerful than usual. After veteran magical girl Yachiyo Nanami is forced to save her, Iroha vows to never return. But when a chance encounter with a tiny Kyuubey seems to trigger distant memories, Iroha is compelled to investigate the mysterious city despite the danger. ![](https://i.imgur.com/J1MmVo5.png) --- **Comparison** (first: source, second: encode) *Open links, toggle with mouseclick and check title.* [![](https://i.imgur.com/c1wL1wC.png)](https://slow.pics/c/pbx7iRtU) [![](https://i.imgur.com/gyJ0qdK.png)](https://slow.pics/c/Yu43nju3) [![](https://i.imgur.com/IyYaYDz.png)](https://slow.pics/c/kJb7tzEX) --- **Source** 🗃️ Video, Audio and Subs: [Kawaiika-Raws] https://nyaa.si/view/1280498 💬 *Subtitles Info: [YameteTomete] - Format `ASS`* --- **Media Info** 🆔 [Full Mediainfo incl. This file size is perfect!!! 👍 The only problem is I'm on andriod. I prefer to just have only japanese audio as default. So it is impossible? Or can you just get rid of english audio altogether? 😅 Patch for Default Language / Subtitles Track This comes with [English audio] and [Signs/Songs subtitles] as default tracks. I included an xDelta Patch for those who rather like [Japanese audio] with [Dialog subtitles] as default.

**@Hifumi_I** If there's English dub available then I always got to include it :> Don't you have access to a laptop where you can apply the patch or just throw the English audio out? (Size of English audio is 566 MB)
@Hifumi_l MX player has the ability to set default audio and subtitle tracks but it's progressively gotten worse with it's in app advertising.
I only have a samsung andriod phone, no laptop or pc. If I can I will definitely delete english audio. The japanese cast is really really good for this show. I cant do anything with andriod phone. 🤧 @Glordit Thanks but that has too much ads and even pop out ads. I currently use a ad free player, vlc and it is perfect with everything so far

**@Hifumi_I** Okay since it's you who requested this anime I will make an exception and create a [Single Audio] version for you. I will not make another torrent because that would be too similiar to this one. There is a DDL section in **[Discord](https://discord.gg/KYKYZUh)** where the links are posted. I don't want to post that link here publicly because it's not my cloud. (You could also just PM me at neoborn#4913 for the link.)
When i played episode 10, I was shocked at the quality it looks perfect. Thank you so much!!! I waited a very very long time for this ever since they announced it until the release of the BD but no one has encoded it to this size. I will keep it in my external hard disk until the very end. I have also joined your discord. Thank you so much!!!
You made an oopsie in your description and image comparisons. >Reencode of [Kawaiika-Raws] (x264 AVC FLAC) to (x265 HEVC AAC) your source was already HEVC.

You forgot to trim the post ED banner audio from eng audio. But thanks for the release.

Yeah I noticed. Didn't bother me all too much as I always skip next episode when ED begins xD
I need to work out how to delete the EN audio from these things.

**@himeno** You could use mkvtoolnix to do that easily but manually for every single file. I have created a little library of .bat scripts that utilize ffmpeg and mkvmerge command line tool that let you do that for multiple files automatically. I wrote a small turotial in the discord server and uploaded all my scripts for various muxing jobs, if you are interested to speed things up (takes some getting used to the syntax but it's really not that hard). Since all my [Dual Audio] uploads have the same structure you'd never had to adjust the script ever again and can just run it on all of them without further work. For other releases they might need slight adjustments (changing one single number in the script).

User
**@himeno** I have posted some of my mkvmerge scripts in the comment section here: **https://nyaa.si/view/1283158** These might help you with your problem and offers additional language option tools.

are you sure YamateTomete did the subs? i can't find anything that correlates them and magia record also, the english dub is desynced for all post-ED scenes

**@466**: Regarding subgroup: Got the info from here: https://nyaa.si/view/1212448 I assumed they are a subgroup. Am I wrong on this one? Regarding endings you are right I kinda messed these up with the Dub track. I watch the ending once on the first EP and then usually skip to next episodes on further endings. As noticed by **salarax** above the Eng Dub had some trimming problems at the very end of which I knew but didn't really care too much since I'm skipping anyway. Regarding out of sync: I didn't even notice that there are post ED scenes since they seem to start with EP3. If I noticed these I could have cut the tracks in the correct spots to bring them into sync again. My bad.

@neoborn ah, i believe you're right about the sub group. i wasn't finding anything because you misspelt their name in the description (it's YameteTomete, not YamateTomete) thanks for the release, regardless of the dub issues

oh right. whoops :) corrected
I'm on Windows, and I was able to change the audio to Japanese, but how do I get the English subtitles to show up? I'm new to this kind of thing
@PaultheBukkit It should change default from 1st track to 2nd while converting iirc on VLC player There is a subtitle option on toolbar. Subtitle>Sub Track>EngDialougeaaspkoaps (option 2) // I don't know VLC shortcuts on MPV player j // for cycling tracks on pot player left click>there is a subtitle option iirc
Ok I got it to work, thanks!!!
I appreciate the release, but why has no one done the BDs with CR subs? All the typesetting in YameteTomete's lags my VLC player...
Thanks! **@Uploader:** I appreciate your effort to provide patches, but there are better ways. Besides video players being able to set a preferred audio and subtitle language there is https://mkvtoolnix.download/doc/mkvpropedit.html Linux/Bash one liner: `for file in "Magia Record - S01E"{01..13}".mkv"; do file_jpn="${file/.mkv/_jpn.mkv}"; cp -v "${file}" "${file_jpn}"; mkvpropedit "${file_jpn}" --edit track:2 --set flag-default=0 --edit track:3 --set flag-default=1; done` More legible: for file in "Magia Record - S01E"{01..13}".mkv"; do file_jpn="${file/.mkv/_jpn.mkv}"; cp -v "${file}" "${file_jpn}"; mkvpropedit "${file_jpn}" --edit track:2 --set flag-default=0 --edit track:3 --set flag-default=1; done **@Users:** If your player has badly designed menus or even ads you should switch to a different player. VLC is okay. MPV is available on Android too as I see, learn to use that. You propbably memorized how to navigate all these dialogs of all these apps over the years and overloaded (what you think is) your eidetic memory with junk that is probably out of date. Learn to be lazy, have dotfiles with version control. Don't use a different player for each device when you can use just one on every device and spend time getting to know it. For the time being text with version control and TTS (to read the manuals for you if you are lazy) is your friend.
- You could skip the part of copying the file which would make it even faster. - No probably outdated, non-functioning¹ and dangerous binaries required to ship along with the release. - Yes, I expect you to have Mkvtoolnix installed when you're doing mkv things. I don't use Macs or Zsh, you have your things there and others should be able to tell you more about that. I'd probably use Chocolatey on Windows, it seems to have even xdelta3. Or I'd just spin up a Linux container like on Chromebooks. - As you can see you are setting just a few bits/flags here. That should be not much more than 2 bytes(! not kilobytes) per episode. What are the ~200KB diff per episode? Mkv metadata I guess and also compression. xdelta3 tries to be smart (and is), but it cannot achieve reducing the file size more because it doesn't see that there should be 2 almost identical files with a few bits swapped which you probably did not provide. You provided 2 differently muxed files, or better said your program wrote two different files for you where it should have written 2 almost identical files, what you intended. You probably save some time and hassle by using the right method and tool for the job like mkvpropedit here. :-) --- 1: Will x86_64 still be a thing in 5 years? Who knows. All gaming consoles had PowerPC chips when Apple ditched it for x86_64. Then most consoles moved to x86_64. Then came Smartphones with ARM and Raspberry Pi and people forgot how to install Windows and Linux after UEFI arrived in 2012 so people moved to Chromebooks. I'm not a big fan of any of this. Just observing. And asking: You want to ship at least ARM binaries for the Mac users (which I'm not)? =P
