Wow, that was quick! Thanks so much for fixing this. I've made a new comparison and the Aspect Ratio is fixed, but I think the new v2 might be a bit zoomed in. @Mythrill the episodes might have the ame system, i guess they cut some pixels on the sides, because sometimes there is blacks bars on video

Some news: a commenter discovered that the screenshots we used to represent our encode did not actually represent what we released. After some brief analysis we noticed that this was correct. The screenshots we presented came directly from avspmod, but for some reason this did not translate to the encode. We speculate it is either an issue with ffmpeg or that avspmod was not displaying properly and therefore the final export does not represent our intentions. We (JySzE, really) are working on fixing the issue and will release a v2. The fixes here will also be rolled into this. We apologize for any inconvenience but we want to make sure the product we are distributing is accurate to our intentions and that we have no false advertising. Thank you to Roswell57 for pointing out the error, and thanks to all of you for the support. The old torrent has been hidden and the v2 will be released ASAP.

@iKaos thanks for checking it out for yourself. The difference was surprising to me as well and I had to check it over and over again to be sure my eyes weren't messed up. Then I concluded that these dang dragon boxes show no mercy to any encode. Thank you for making quality a priority and I just know v2 will be awesome!

@Mythrill I'm just going to leave the SP's untouched for the V3 release, because Pony Canyon authored them completely different than the actually tv series ep's, instead of authoring it so it will conform to either 10:11 or 177:160 like NTSC 4:3 DVD is meant to, they made it so its actually the correct PAR in 8:9 so watching these via the DVD on a DVD player will be totally wrong but correct when viewing digitally (typical shitty PonyC authoring). But the problem is that when cropping the black bars/film edge distortion you are left with 712x540 being the correct size to make it the proper PAR but that is not 4:3 its 1.32:1, I made a compromise by simply cropping it in a left4,right4,top4,bottom4 pattern which is what they should of done and then resized to 4:3 accordingly but cropping 4 pixels top and bottom would upset some people so instead of stressing about it since I could truly care less about these specials I will just leave it untouched and people can fix it themselves how they choose to.

Has anyone ever found an original copy of the PSAs? They had to have been distributed on something before the Dragon Box. Would that possibly have Broadcast audio quality?

@CSManiac33 the audio (and video) quality on the specials is actually pretty good compared to the series, so I assume Toei ironically probably stored those in better condition.

Huh. I guess the version I watched years ago just really bad. I hadnt actually watched this version yet since I had no plans on downloading DB atm since I just watched it not too long ago but assumed it had bad audio. Now typing it, I may have been thinking of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans in terms of the bad audio/video thing I watched but it could have been both.
