I noticed these hadn't been ripped from retrocrush yet and use a superior translation to the one on all the torrents currently available, so for personal reasons I went ahead and took care of it. I plan on getting this on bluray most likely along with Combattler V and I will try to rip those copies when I can, this should hold anyone over who wants to watch this classic but lives outside the US or Canada. ![alt text](https://i.imgur.com/6T74Bzw.jpg "Bright Punch!") ![alt text](https://i.imgur.com/K7dU9hz.jpeg)

Sorry that my internet isn't super fast (upload caps out around 500-600KBps and that is spread out among all the leechers), please bare with me, I will keep seeding. https://imgur.com/a/WR6Kiob here's a bunch of fullscreen shots if you wanna see what the quality looks like. https://i.imgur.com/txedgwh.png comparison of the new Discotek subs on the left and the old fansubs on the right Also I meant to put this in the information column in the torrent description for anyone who wants to follow my sporadic releases for some reason, but I messed up so I will just leave it here https://anidb.net/group/14540 ~Thank you <3
If I recall correctly the old internet subs were based off of the dub that aired in the Philippines years and years ago, so it tracks that they wouldn't be entirely accurate (to say the least). @narualoa18 You do realize they can't rip what isn't licensed/subbed?
Proper translation of Combattler V when?
Thank you, this is great!!

@narualona18 we gotta wait for Toei to sub Daimos so that Discotek can release it on SDBD. :< @Akuma_Blade im gonna do Combattler V next but that one isn't being streamed anywhere so I have to wait until I have the BD.

After I do Combattler I will probably try to do either the BD of Voltes or Astroganger, thinking Astroganger since I kind of want to prioritize backing up stuff that nobody else has ripped yet and has a lower chance of being ripped due to obscurity/unpopularity, and aside from maaayybbeee higher bitrate the BD Voltes is probably virtually the same as this. Really wish they would come into stock on rightstuf, they're a lot cheaper there, alas.
I do have to laugh you think Toei is the one subtitling these as opposed to Discotek being the ones to do so (unless Discotek has been Heavily editing internal subs Toei gives them, since Toei's track record re:doing translations themselves is... Not Great, to say the least)

@MegaBeast_Empire you're right, it's kind of a wild guess and I definitely assume Discotek corrects and edits them, just speculating because I believe Toei had put some episodes of these shows on their youtube page briefly before they came out under Discotek. Just thinking about how Crunchyroll had Lupin III long before Discotek released it and those subs were god awful, Discotek seemed to edit and retime their retail subs based off those.
