The DVD is better than the BD in every category, except for sharpness. I do think the original source is significantly more detailed, but the dvd transfer process blurred it for some reason.
(Also there are very rare deinterlacing errors (as the DVD is 29.97p, but the original source was probably 59.94i). Those errors exist in the BD ver as well.)

Cestfait torrent still has visibly clearer video. Probably the source dvd was better.

That’s a very small difference. Maybe it has to do with them having over 4x the bitrate?
I’d have to check the original. I remember looking at R1DVD vs R2DVD and not seeing a difference.

Decoding of 10bit AV1 is too slow for playing, except possibly on ARM CPUs. We need 8bit, which is much faster.
