All 98 episodes are about 398GB. Definitely a great remux release, but are you going to share one by one? That'd take forever. I'd up it all if I could, though I can't right now.
Is this the Japanese relese?
@impakt Does US Blurays of kai has any tint in it?
@avisingh: No, that's only the Majin Boo arc which is subtitled "The Final Chapters."
@ avisingh _Dragon Ball Kai_ doesn't have any green tint, but the sequel _Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters_ did, and it was cropped to 16:9. TOEI made TFC mainly for international audiences, so had they made it for the Japanese who knows if they'd have done a better job. Picture quality of TFC isn't very good, neither is the music and it definitely shouldn't have been cropped.
@impakt Well, I assume you already know that for the first 98 episodes, JP DVD's are zoomed in and cropped to 16:9 and Blurays are 4:3 aspect ratio whereas US DVD's and Blurays releases are in 4:3 standard Definition. So, what's your pick on that. What to choose? As for the Final Chapters, Two separate versions were created, one for the international audience and other one for Japanese, but the japanese version was cut down to fit within a year’s broadcast time. Both US and Japan releases are in 16:9 cropped format. So the US one has a green tint. What about the Japanese shortened version of the Final Chapters?
The quality difference between US and JPN Kai BDs is marginal, it basically comes down to what language your prefer your credits and titles in. There's also a slight difference in contrast due to different encoding methods. Boo Kai is also fundamentally the same footage source for both versions, so there's no escaping the green outside of ColdFusion's filtered version, which reduces it a bit.
For the 35mm episodes - JP Blu-ray For the 16mm episodes - R1A DVD ![alt text](http://www.fanboyreview.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Kai-Comparison-updated.png "DBK") And if you want the "best" international release of Kai TFC, it's the German Blu-rays, but even then it still has the usual issues (cropping, green tint, etc). What makes it better is having Japanese text.
@ikaos @impakt thanks for the much needed in depth information that both of you just provided. Really needed it for kai. Now I know what to choose... well....sort of :D
