Visit him if you will at his amazing fansub site for more extremely professional looking subs: https://skarohuntingsociety.wordpress.com/ (Nanto deserves much praise this time around, he re-edited specials #2 and #3 without my involvement and he worked very hard on these. Great job, man! Thanks!) Special thanks to our good friend, Hozonkai, who paid for the translation of special #1. So cool to see obscurities like this, thank you.
They did the same for Dragon Ball, too. These short films are rather interesting to watch. Thanks.
Toei also did a set of two videos aimed at early-school-age students about traffic safety and bicycle safety based upon their Ojamajo Doremi third-season main characters. Currently translating, but raws were a pain to get ahold of as they were on the long-outdated VHS videotape format and distributed directly to schools.
JimShew2: How dare you call VHS outdated?! (Just kidding, but if you saw the room I'm currently sitting in, the joke would make more sense). There are actually a ton of titles in Toei's "Safety Education Anime" series. In addition to Dr. Slump. Dragon Ball, and Ojamajo Doremi, they also did ones for GeGeGe no Kitaro, Kinnikuman, Touch, Tetsuwan Atom, Ninja Hattori-kun, Mahou Tsukai Sally, Maple Town, and many others. Shame most of them are so hard to find, most Japanese schools have probably gotten rid of their old educational VHS tapes by now. Even Super Mario got into the act, someone posited a few clips here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfObkj-sU7Y
Awesome to see rarities like these ones, thanks for the hard work. Also, I uniroically learnt a lot about traffic security and now I know I did A LOT of things wrong. I've been twice to Japan and one of the things I enjoyed the most was to rent a bike and cycle both in rural places at random and in big cities. In my defense, I must say that most of the native cyclists didn't seem to have watched the tapes, and also traffic and roads sizes in Penguin Village aren't very simmilar to those in Osaka
