This is a heavy edit of Funimation's subs from the camrip, transcribed by ShinMugetsu, the real hero behind the scenes. But guess what? Funimation subs are garbage. I ended up fixing a lot of TL errors and rephrasing almost every line. They're snapped to keyframes. All relevant signs are typeset and motion tracked, ending song is translated and chapters are included too. The encode is my own. Filter chain is a simple but effective descale, which took care of most of the haloing and aliasing, followed by a light deband and adaptive grain. The file size kinda 'went beyond' my expectations but it can't be helped since its packed with action. If you want something smaller, grab the descaled 720p encode or the 1080p mini encode from AnimeKaizoku. Since the encode was going slow, I had the time to go over the subs multiple times and polish it, plus ultra. I borrowed some lines from the dub since it had a lot better phrasing. I looked up SlimShot's transcription too for the few parts that I had doubts about. I also went back to some of the older episodes from kBaraka's releases to maintain consistency. Drop your feedbacks in the comments. Don't skip the ending song, only villains do that. Lastly, the movie was fun. It may not be a 'good movie' but it sure is a good My Hero Academia movie. Decent size, +1, would be nice to add a screenshot though ^^
So does this mean that the subs are good ???
Hope someone will post a comparison screenshot between this and BDMV, to see the quality.
Here are the subtitles and fonts. I grabbed them from the mini-encode, but they *should* be the same. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ri-KW05QpKAgHfxHaQZBB_F4ryVq5opk
watched this in theaters, but wanted to drop by and thank you for your hard work plus ultra shit, okay movie, thanks
mediainfo, screenshots, comparisons and subs added in the description. i always forget to add them cause i'm always in a hurry to post. man i wish i could've watched this in theaters but covid shit destroyed even that slim chance we had for a release.
Are the subs timed to work for the 42 GB RAW or do I need to retime them a bit?
So, can someone say if these are the best subs available now? Sounds like a lot of effort was put into it, at least it's not a machine translated spanish to english sub.
These subs are pretty damn good. Well done, and thank you.
Thanks! Just letting you know of a small typo (We missing the e) at 0,0:50:39.06 in case you're planning to release a v2: W closed their wounds with our quirks
@No_One they should sync perfectly with any raw that doesn't have that minute long marvel-like intro sequence. however i'll still recommend watching the encode since it fixes many of the issues in the bd video. @jackiechun yikes! no idea how we missed it even tho we went through it like 4 times :< i probably won't do a v2 unless some major error is reported but i've updated the subs in the description link. and you're all welcome!
@notdedsec no worries at all! Many thanks to you and everyone for your hard work.
Thank you so much! Great work!
Just found your group again after seeing your new Jujutsu encodes and was like "wait... Kaizoku??" and then got your MHA movie 2 and Weathering With You encodes and love the sub work on them! Can't wait to see more awesome releases in the future :)
