Nothing wrong with this release. Batch Fixes being talked about by Kaleido is about fixing a few minor typos in the subtitles, updating kfx for songs, some re-wording/editing changes, and some typesetting updates. Nothing that will affect your enjoyment of the show, it’s just about finalizing things and making sure everything is consistent.

Yes, hence the BD in the file filename. The video is encoded from the Japanese Blu-ray. The Japanese audio is also from the Blu-ray. However the English audio is from Adult Swim WEB Stream as the US Blu-ray is not fully out yet.

In the first 21 episodes, the romanticized japanese subtitles during the opening credits were 100% readable prior to the words actually being sung. Episodes 22-26 are unreadable (blurred out) until the words are actually sung. Is there a reason for this difference? I liked being able to read the whole sentence before it was sung.

We didn’t do the subs. Complain to Kaleido if you want it changed before the final batch. As it stands, I’m assuming that the batch will be updated to match episodes 22-26. The “reason” is that they added kfx starting at episode 22 and they simply made an aesthetic choice that you don’t agree with. Personally, I like it.

I just don’t agree with the inconsistency. I would have been fine either way, as long as it was the same all along.

Different staff member here, I actually agree with th3ch0s3n0n3. Karaoke is supposed to be able to be read before it’s sung, so being blurred/hidden/etc to the point of being unreadable is actually one of the big “don’ts” when it comes to doing kfx.

Anyways it’s safe to assume Kaleido’s updated batch will be consistent with the kfx from 22-26 for all episodes.

Changing it isn’t hard; just grab an earlier OP and shift it onto the new ep, or change the blur values using a find & replace.

Awesome quality only drawback is that subs are totally rubbish for eg Blood Demon art to Blood arts also the fav line No one sever the bond between nezuko and me to no one will ever sever the bond between us.All I am saying is subs need to be fixed even the song subs are not good

and what are you basing this on? Crunchyroll subs or FUNimation’s dub or do you actually know Japanese? Because Kaleido had an actual TL go over the subtitles and that is how they opted to sub it and I stand by their decisions. The subtitles were fantastic.

No reason to call something rubbish just because you disagree with a few TL choices. If anything it just makes you come off as a troll.

If there’s something you feel really strongly about that should be changed, I’m all ears.
