I will no longer be seeding the old version. ## Intro In preparation for Geofront's Azure project, I went ahead and repeated the [same mod that I did for Trails from Zero](https://nyaa.si/view/1236139) that replaces the battle voices with the higher quality ones from Ao no Kieski Evolution. Naturally, since these are just audio files, you can apply this mod regardless of whether you are playing a translated version or not. To recap for those unfamiliar with the mod, the PSP/PC versions have the battle voices rendered at 22 kHz to save on memory usage, making them sound more muffled. Evolution has all of the battle voices rendered at 48 kHz instead, and sound cleaner as a result. In addition to sounding cleaner, the battle voices from Evolution are new takes from the same voice actors. These might not be to everyone’s liking, but they are the same lines at least. It’s worth noting that *Ao no Kiseki KAI* on PS4 also uses the Evolution battle voices. *Note: Unlike my previous mod for Zero, I chose to exclude the 48 kHz SFX for Azure. Although Zero benefited from them, I found out that Chara Ani got lazy with the SFX for Azure Evolution and just up-sampled the PSP SFX to 48 kHz, so they don't sound any better, and just take up more space. Oof. Makes me wonder if Kai fared any better in that regard.* Let me know if there are any issues with the mod and I will do my best to fix them! ## Installation * Inside the game's "data" folder, make a backup copy of the original "se" folder. * Extract the "se" folder from inside the 7z archive to the game's "data" folder. Replace any files that it asks you to. * Play!

I just wanted to say that I've used your Zero no kiseki mod and it was pretty much perfect...such a improvement over original sounds, fantastic job. This one however, starts very well, most of the characters sound soo much better (especially Lloyd and Arios)...but it changes after you hear Lloyd and Dudley's s crafts. The volume is just so low that I can barely hear it (and S craft quotes are really important to me :p). Would be amazing if you could improve sound balance for some of them (It looks like a lot of work so I don't expect you to do it). I will see if there are more instances of this occurence cus not gonna lie I really wanna use it, if it just those 2 quotes i can live with it. Oh and IF you decide to fix them I could just write down which quotes are a bit low (but I will mostly focus on the ones you hear the most like s-scrafts for ex....oh and quotes at the start of characters turn i guess). Edit: OMG you have actually put all the new voice lines from PC version of CS1 and 2 INTO Ps Vita versions??!!! That is INSANEEE, I'm super excited to try it :D
Update: Ok so I actually went through all the voice files and manually adjusted the volume for all sounds with this problem (turns out that only s craft and combination crafts were affected...all cus of that echo).

Yeah, I remember the combo crafts being quiet in my Zero mod also. I didn't do any volume adjustments to the files, so that's probably how they would have sounded in Evo too, unless they did volume boosting within the game itself. I'll probably go back and update this mod before the Geofront patch comes out. If you're willing to provide the clips you adjusted the volume on, I could update this mod sooner. I mainly made these mods to improve my own experience with the games (thus, they aren't aggressively tested), but figured other people could benefit from them too. On that note, I'm glad you're enjoying the mods, despite their minor issues. Hope you like the voice mod for CS1 & 2 also! I got all the major issues ironed out with that one before I released it. Only thing left was a minor error where the Cross Save text at the bottom of the camp menu says "Exit Game?" instead, though Cross Save still works as intended. It's just like that because I used files directly from the PC version, and that's what Durante replaced. Just an FYI, the PC version did have a couple moments where certain new voice clips play out of order, or with the wrong effect, so they'll be like that in the mod too.
Ok so I have mostly adjusted the volume for s crafts and combo crafts. Tbh I didn't get to a part where you unlock combo crafts so I assumed they work on the same priniciple as s-crafts and are in fact not boosted by the game (If it makes lines too loud I will let you know). The biggest victim of this problem was Dudley and Lloyd, so that was my main focus (I mean come on, Lloyd needs to be able to scream.....there is a probability that i over did it with Lloyd by like 1 sth db but It sounds good in game so I won't change it). I went through all s crafts and combination crafts in the game to "fix" them and the only character that didn't need any adjusting was ACTUALLY Tio which was puzzling. I remember adjusting volume for other minor stuff for example: Wazy's laugh in one instance was definitely too loud and it peaked (I actully remember for which scene it was used..and yeah, definitely too loud), few Yin's lines were almost unhearable (although the volume balance was always out of whack for Yin) etc. I'm sending a whole folder cus at this point I don't even remember which lines were adjusted. I'm not saying that I did perfect job, I mean I'm a noob in this regard (at least s crafts sound as they should which I'm happy about XD) but not gonna lie I had fun doing it. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lrkSEgW8Qa6rMaXiOyD9LlTkBr4ioH-n?usp=sharing Thank you for your amazing job, you are doing this community a favor and yeah, the sound aspect of those games is really important to me too, I just love the improved quality of a lot of those voice lines, s crafts especially (I disliked how Tiger Charge sounded in OG, here it is soo hype XD). Edit: You might be wondering why am I playing Ao no kiseki rn if Geofront's version is not finished, well simple cus this version exists which is a great alternative if you don't wanna wait like me https://imgur.com/a/bQOs4kX

Thanks a bunch! I tried it out and it sounds so much better. You did great! Combo Crafts sounded fine btw (at least Lloyd & Noel's was). I'll go ahead and replace my upload with your revision. I'll credit you, of course. ^_^ And yeah, I knew about the Collective Improvements mod. I used it so I could at least see the prologue of Azure, since I wanted a preview of what's to come. xD
