At the time of ripping, no DVD, Bluray, or other digital souce is known to exist. Domesday Edition: This was captured using a Domesday Duplicator. I dunno, I haven’t seen it translated, and it isn’t real obvious. The anidb page gives some details though. Its based on a series of novels. The novels were illustrated by Yun Kouga (whose praises I sang in my release for Genji Pt. 1), but unfortunately, Yun Kouga didn’t do the character designs for this OVA series. The OVA designs are by Tamakawa Tatsufumi, who never did character designs before and never did them again. Seems like a weird move to me, but whatever. He did okay. High School Aura Buster came out in mid-to-late 1999, which was an interesting time for home video. The short version is that this got released on VHS and leserdisc only in an era where DVD was very much on the rise, and then never got reissued. Its much cleaner and more modern-looking than anything else I’ve released. The disc was well mastered. There were no chapter markings on the discs, so there are none in the files either. Now that CX audio is largely working in the Domesday software, I am including it on the unfiltered DVD conversion as a secondary track from here on in.
