Nice uploads! .m2ts still the untouched file, so the "best" (even if this is the same quality than remux) but thx for continuing to upload various and Aikatsu openings :p
m2ts contains garbage data. It is not "the best"
@Sts115 Yes I know but as you know the .mt2s files and these .mkv files contain the same video quality without reenco. These 2 files (.m2ts and .mkv) are so original BD quality. Now, when I will share my .m2ts file, people will say "Oh .m2ts, it's BDMV file!" and are sur that this is "untouched quality", but when I will share my .mkv, people will say "Ah it's a .mkv, maybe a reenco maybe not" this is less obvious that it is a BDRemux file. If we can take 300Mo for a .mkv opening file, we can take 400Mo, so the storage is not really a problem. Also, people which don't want .m2ts files will probably not be interested in BDRemux files. And with the .m2ts, we can make a .mkv, but with a .mkv, we can't remake the original .m2ts file. So the unique way to get this original .m2ts is someone share this .m2ts file. So it's why I prefer the .m2ts files, but @carlosr can do that he want, I just... suggest xD

@ReshibanGaming point of view interesting ?
@ReshibanGaming are you kidding? If someone don't believe it is a remux they can buy the Original disc and remux by themselves. You are mistaken. You can create .m2ts back from mkv using a muxing program. It is that easy. M2ts files contain a LOT of garbage data, and if you store lots of m2ts. You will be wasting Gigs and gigs of space.
@Sts115 it is not just so that people BELIVE that, it is also to people anywhere I share this file SEE which this is a blu ray. If you don't have enough space for a .m2ts file with a few garbage data, I don't understand why you take .mkv BDRemux files Also, unless i'm wrong, if I do: .m2ts(1) -> .mkv -> .m2ts(2) My original .m2ts(1) and my final .m2ts(2) will not have exactly the SAME data and so not the same hash by example, so impossible to use in a BDMV release with missing files by example. The interesting thing here, it is not only the original BD quality of the file, but also the original BD file rarity, his origin, and it would be a shame to share a .mkv which can't make the rare original .m2ts file, when you can share a rare .m2ts file which can make these .mkv if you prefer save a few space :p (See these .m2ts files like shiny in Pokemon lol)
Okay so I retried myself to be sur of that I said (already did it few years ago). The first file is a recent opening (Aikatsu Stars! NCOP1), and the second is an "old" opening (Dragon Ball Z NCOP2) .m2ts -> .mkv : ![alt text](https://i.ibb.co/2F8bmgk/explorer-BRDFFHg-Tx4.png "~12%") Okay so as you can see: for the 1st "new" opening, 473 832Ko -> 421 501Ko: you save 11,04% for the 2nd "old" opening, 312 210Ko -> 274 444Ko: you save 12,09% So you save around 12%, this is not a LOT of data, your .mkv contain 88% of the .m2ts It's not worth sacrificing the rarity of these .m2ts files just to save 12%, if you have a HDD to save your BDRemux files (otherwise I don't see how you stock it), a difference of 12% is not high And if you prefere the .mkv file, you can easily convert with MKVToolNix, but for those which prefere .m2ts, I don't really see tools which convert correctly .mkv -> .m2ts so I can't even do a test ".m2ts(1) -> .mkv -> .m2ts(2)" and compare the hash of .m2ts(1) and .m2ts(2) (if they don't match, that mean a .mkv to .m2ts converter will not give the original BD file) Anyway, because you have MKVToolNix, it is easily to grab .m2ts and convert to .mkv than the reverse.
Are you kidding? Take a full movie .m2ts and you will see that garbage data is about 2 Gb minimum. 2gb of USELESS data. .m2ts only work if you upload the ENTIRE DISC OR .ISO IMAGE. If you upload the .m2ts without the other menus and data from the original file it is totally useless. Besides remember that seeding is very difficult, those percentages you show are the Mbs the uploader saves in order to send the file to you. Keep on believing m2ts is better, as it was demonstrated it is not. You are telling people that divx is better than x264. Is that simple.
@Sts115 .m2ts files work very nice on PC, Android, AndroidTV... (even raspberry pi), as you said, these "garbage" data are so a +, thx for the info, I didn't known their utility! (even if they are part of these .m2ts files anyway) 2Gb of garbage data, your movie still having 18Gb of "real" data, okay you save 2Go but if you can seed 18Go you can seed 20Go this is not far. (You save only 2Gb for 1h30 of video!) Yep the uploader upload this for me and everyone, it's why I stay in seed on his torrents, to stay up these precious BDRemux files for everyone (my seedbox got broken few weeks ago, need to repair it and much of these torrent "dead" today will be up :) ) Why choose .m2ts: -Brut/rare BDMV file -Just sort by file type your Op/Ed folder and see what files are BDRemux and what are not (.m2ts are BDRemux (nobody convert a "lossy" file in .m2ts), anyway your BDRemux .mkv are lost in not BDRemux .mkv files and if they got renamed you just don't know if this is a BDRemux or not) -You can convert to .mkv anyway (so .m2ts files are the source) -You can use in a BDMV release Why choose .mkv: -Save a few data -Better compatibility(?) Just grab the .m2ts and convert in .mkv, us we can't grab .mkv and turn it in the original .m2ts. If it was the opposite (source are .mkv) okay why not, but here the (souce are .m2ts) Anyway we will never agree xD
You are literally saying divx avi is better than hevc mkv. Don't you get it? So with your logic we must upload 0000.m2ts in order to preverse original files? Carlosr is NOT uploading BDMV folders nor ISO files, how the hell you can convert them to original source? At the moment he renamed those files they are not part of a file structure on a BDMV Disc, so it is fine to remux them. Carlos can even encode the audio to FLAC, AS IT IS LOSSLESS and it will save even more space. No one say compatibility. I don't know what you are talking about. Seeding is that easy? Verify by yourself how many m2ts releases are unseeded here. You clearly don't know or you lack knowledge.
I don't really know divx, you seem knowing more, but I heard things like his compatibility is very bad etc... So can you really replace .m2ts by divx avi for this example? Anyway, if divx avi is the source of your hevc mkv, why not upload this divx release in first yes. If divx have big faults (like contain DRM), okay a mkv release can be better, but here, except for a few data, .m2ts don't has faults, and has all advantages listed above. But okay, I get the .m2ts file and I convert it in .mkv with MKVToolNix, now I have MakeMKV, the full BDMV and I use the tool to make the same .mkv What difference between the files? Peronally I don't know the difference in the files, but about data: MKVToolNix: 509 710Ko MakeMKV: 509 726Ko Difference: 16Ko So anyway, if Carlosr make his .mkv with MakeMKV, or you grab the .m2ts and make .mkv with MKVToolNix (you don't have to grab all the BDMV to use MKVToolNix) it's the same at 16Ko close If the file name is not 0002.m2ts, just compare his weight with BDMV files in the torrent. Okay this argument of the BDMV is far-fetched yes but not impossible (this is just not the reason why you will grab a .m2ts) But if you want to save space, I don't understand why you take BDRemux and not a good reenco with less weight, if we want to keep the original quality, why not the original files too :p Also, I'm not against you, it can be the impression that it makes, so it's why I precise it! Nothing has goal to be disrespectful. I just persist because like said every times, if you want a .mkv, you can grab the .m2ts and make it, if I want the original .m2ts, I can't grab the .mkv and make the .m2ts (About "unseeded here" you mean carlosr m2ts releases? If yes I repaired my seedbox and much of his releases will be up in few hours)
Well, of course you don't know. Divx is an ancient format that no one uses today. Research by yourself. You still don't get it. Good reencode? Any reencode will lose quality. It is not about saving space. It is about sharing. Any Mb is welcome when someone seeds. Yes. Not only carlosr releases but yes, most of his releases are dead because of people not seeding. I wouldn't seed too because i would be sending USELESS data. When remuxing to mkv. we can give more for less. We can seed more and people can download faster. I seed myself so I know what i am talking about. And yes, you can take the mkv and remux to m2ts. and if you have the BDMV folder, the disc will play. You are talking nonsense.
@Sts115 Yep I don't know divx maybe because it's older than me and unused now otherwise idk why x) Okay I will search myself, and for your comparison so like said, if divx have things like DRM which m2ts don't have, this is not the same thing. (and divx is unused today, but m2ts is used everywhere) Like you want, I was a little seeder me, but sadly my connection don't allow me to seed very good (300kbps), so it must be you the bigger seeder, it's why okay... you win So if we must do .mkv releases, do you know a good tool to revert the operation (.mkv to .m2ts) and will it recover his useless data? It's just for me to know and be able to be adapted :p
(I precise which I still prefering .m2ts format xD)
There are a lot of ways to do so. You can start using Xmediarecode or tsmuxer. You can even create custom bd discs. https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/348838-MKV-back-to-BDMV-for-real
You are wrong again. M2ts is only used on BDMV folders inside a BD Disk, tv broadcasting and streaming. It is not that popular. Oh you mention DRM. Well, guess what, Original BDMV files have DRM, because m2ts. Supports DRM. It is only when someone decrypts the disc when ripping that we get that m2ts and can be played. In fact I suppose that useless data are remains of the DRM they had originally. Mkv on the other hand, i never heard of an mkv file with drm.
"Almost all commercially produced Blu-ray Disc titles use copy protection method called Advanced Access Content System, which encrypts content of the disc (including M2TS files). Software that supports M2TS files usually works only with decrypted or unencrypted files. Blu-ray Disc software players can usually play back encrypted content from original disc. Video content created using AVCHD equipment is commonly unencrypted." So in fact, the only reason they do not use mkv on BD Disks is because m2ts brings the copy protection they need.
Oh okay nice, thx for these info it can be useful :p I decided to help in my way with effective methods and within my reach (max 300ko/s to seed something like 100 torrents ^^), so I make Uptobox mirrors of much of these BDRemux torrents. With Alldrebrid for recent torrents alive, and my connection for all dead torrents stocked on my HDD, waiting for this day since ever... If that can help to keep alive these torrent ! (there is backups elsewhere in my cloud storage, so if it get DMCA, 1 click to restore ;) ) Look at that :p mirror: https://uptobox.com/user_public?hash=6186ab187978df02&folder=2738290767
