Because was digital composite, it was likely rendered near it is intend broadcast resolution and cannot be remastered in the same way that cell animation can be. While, this blu-ray definitely up-scaled in order to get to 1080p it is still a proper HD remaster. It should look noticeably better than the DVD releases just not as good as it could have looked if it had been made analogue. I did these subs myself from the US PGS subs.
