They only print so many copies of a BD/DVD in Japan. Amazon Japan is almost out of stock on certain volumes of the show and if it does not say more on the way then that is ll they will be getting for a title.

Got Million Arthur on order but had to get whatever version Amazon had left of each volume so no I don’t have all the bonus material that came with each set.

May get That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime later on but right now still have to pay for the shipping for the rest of Val x Love and Million Arthur first.

I’m new, so if I may ask is there’s actual difference between JP and US release?

Fewer volumes, lower quality overall, shitty dubbing often and half the cost of JP releases. For funimation the use of fake ass 5.1 sound for their shitty dubs.

Let me elaborate on this answer:

1. US releases are typically 2 disk sets with 12 episodes spread in between. JP releases are one disk editions with 2-4 episodes per disk.
2. The US releases are of slightly lower video quality, since they have to put more episodes per disk. Sometimes the quality difference is huge though.
3. English dubs take up space on the disks. I find them worthless and never mux them in.
4. US releases are MUCH cheaper. In Japan one volume can cost you even 100$.
5. Funimation does this stupid thing where they remux their stereo audio into 5.1 for the BDs. It sounds absolutely terrible. Also, since they almost always include both a DTS and a AC3 track for each dub, that’s even more wasted space.

So yeah, US version are inferior. But sometimes it’s all we can get. Some shows are so shitty that a JP BD is never uploaded.

Funimation almost always uses TrueHD unless requested by the Japanese company.

Sentai Uses DTS.
