Encoded the Digimon movie into high quality MKV h.264 format with English audio, along with English and Spanish Subtitles as well.
I used the Japanese Blu-Ray for the video and USA DVD for the English audio, and subtitles. The version of the movie for the USA DVD release was made up of 3 short Japanese movies that were edited into one longer movie by FoxKids. They took random scenes, and frames from all 3 movies and re-arranged the hell out of them. I seriously cannot believe the amount of re-arranging that was done by FoxKids. I painstakingly went through all 3 Japanese movies over, and over, and over, frame by frame, and re-arranged them to match the USA DVD versions video frame for frame. In my opinion, I have never had a more annoying project than this.
For playback all you need is the proper codec or media player if you don't already have it.
Combined Community Codec Pack or the K-Lite Codec pack should give you all you need and more to play these back.
If you do not wish to install a codec pack, a modern Media Player such as MPC-HC or VLC Media Player should come bundled with everything you need.

so after complaining about batshit dub crap.... you edit the japanese movies into the dub rather than the dub into the movies?..
i guess maybe theres not enough material? but like, weird double talk in this torrent description... seems like a hostage situation
@tonikaku
I think you’re confused and might have misread my description. I only matched the Japanese video to the English video frame for frame by re-arranging video frames as needed to match them up, and mentioned that it was a pain in the ass amount of annoying work. It’s impossible to edit the Dubbed movie into the 3 short Japanese movies. The audio would never sync up, and the amount of adjustments you would have to make to the audio would make the audio skip all over the place, or be nonexistant due to Japanese version having more scenes and the longer dub being spread out over 3 different shorter movies. The English version also has stuff added in that the Japanese version does not have.
I would have to a make a separate subbed only version to give the 3 individual short Japanese movies. No, I do not plan on doing that anytime soon.
**This particular release caters to those who wanted the English version in 1080p, because there is no English 1080p Blu-Ray available at this point in time.**
@tonikaku
Lets see if I can describe this and how these were made by the companies that released them.
Japanese = Movie Short 1, Movie Short 2, Movie Short 3 **(3 separate short movies)**
English = Movie Short 1 (altered intro, random scenes/frames from other scenes placed in different spots, some scenes taken from Movie Short 3 and placed into this part) **+** Movie Short 2 (Random scenes/frames from other scenes placed in different spots) **+** Movie Short 3 (Scenes re-arranged, scenes taken from Movie Short 2 and placed into this part, altered ending credits) **(One longer movie made up of the 3 shorter ones, with lots of changes made to the video)**
Basically they took the 3 short movies, re-arranged them as they wanted, and then made the dub to be meant for that re-arranged version. To undo the re-arranging and try to sync to Japanese version would make an impossible sync job or one that has lots of cuts and stops in the audio, along with audio in some places that don't even make any sense.
uh.. so my comment was right
this is a hostage situation
and despite complaining about the terrible dub production processes youre stilling matching up the japanese audio to the frankenstein edited english dub movie
dont get me wrong thats impressive and all but like at what point are you going to disavow a dub?
@nyanneko
Sorry, but I do not have plans to do those 3 small movies separately, and make subtitles for them anytime soon. You will have to look elsewhere for that.
@DodgyAussie
The 1080p looks so good that I am not going to bother with a 720p version.
@tonikaku
More like your comment was off. I have nothing against the dub at all. It’s the only version I have ever watched or care to watch for this series and its movies. I was not complaining about the dub process or saying anything bad about it, I was explaining how much annoying work it took to get the Japanese video to match it frame for frame, and how surprised I was at all the re-arranging they did. If there was anything to complain about, it would be how much work this took to do, not the English dub. I never once tried to say the dubbed version was terrible. I like the dubbed version of the series and movie, even if it may be inferior to the Japanese one. This is for anyone else who likes the dubbed series and movie as well. I wanted it, and it was requested as well, so I put in the effort.
I would only “disavow” a dub if I didn’t like it, or didn’t care about it. Normally I like to sync to Dual Audio so both can be available, but for this movie it was impossible.
If you don’t want this, or aren’t interested in it, then simply move on and forget about its existence. I will not be turning this into a pointless clutter the comments section argument, or replying to you about this particular subject anymore. See ya!
@fabrebatalla18
Since you are asking, I will let you know that I did not use your video. I do not like to re-encode other peoples encodes and prefer to work with the original source. I specifically tell in the description that I used the Japanese Blu-Ray and did the work myself. Might want to read the description.
The fact that yours has a completely different/incorrect aspect ratio for the opening theme, and it has the angela anaconda special attached to the beginning of it instead of as a separate download like mine, should have made it somewhat obvious that I did not use your video. Yours also is not completely frame for frame identical to the DVD video in all places like mine. A couple spots, you added a fade to black instead of matching the frames like I did by adding in needed frames where necessary. Ours having different frame for frame syncs is yet another indicator I did not use your video. So no worries, your work is still your work.
I never heard of the project you linked to. I did check it out though after you mentioned it. Its nice that it has Portuguese and Spanish audio, but the video quality is inferior in my opinion. More soft/blurry, less detailed, lines are jagged looking, and it's not stabilized, so the whole screen is jerking/wobbling all over the place to the point it's distracting. It's pretty much just the Blu-Ray source video with no improvements or changes made to it, other than the syncing.
You certainly did a nice job putting it all together though. I gotta hand it to anyone that has the patience to go through the hell I did, to do this as well lol. Keep up the good work!
On a final note, I'm a huge detective conan fan as well, so I will be looking into the 720p stuff you have for it that I just noticed.
@everyone
Angela Anaconda is technically not anime, and it's just an addition to the movie as well, so I made a separate upload for that piece. You can now get the Angela Anaconda Digimon special 480p, 720p, and 1080p in my forum. I also added links in the description here, in case you do not want to join my forum to get them.
Also, I will no longer be actively checking comments for this torrent, so if you must contact me, just join my Discord or Forum and contact me. (It's possible I may stumble across your comment if I ever visit this torrent again for an update or something, but I will not be looking for them)
Enjoy!
thanks so much for the painstaking effort put into this. people will dump on the dub (maybe rightly so) but those of us who watched this version everyday as kids can't ever let it go, and it's amazing to finally have a BD 1080 version of it.
This is incredible, thank you so much for putting it together. The Japanese versions are a lot worse in many regards that people often seem to ignore. In particular the JP soundtrack is pretty awful compared to the English dub.
@tonikaku You're extremely cringe.
