For those unfamiliar the original ending to Devilman was somewhat rushed and Amon was meant to flesh out what happened during the 20 year time skip. Ironically then, this movie only covers the first volume of Amon (which is all that had been released at the time) and was never followed by a sequel. The final battle would not be animated until Devilman Crybaby.
