Most of the english subs seems to be broken, at least not opening in Aegisub.

just use SubtitleEdit they work just fine its a problem with Aegisub

I found changing it from UTF-8 to UTF-8 BOM fixes it and then Aegisub is happy. In this scenario though, I would recommend just running through SubtitleEdit Batch Convert, so that you don't have to 1-by-1 resave every file.

It's not a problem with aegisub. The files are just not saved with correct text encoding.

@sagiriz What? I don't think you understood what I even meant. CR has anime with hard subtitles (such as Yosuga no Sora), so I was wondering if by some chance they had softsub available before it was used to burning the subs onto the video.
