Myanimelist has this season marked at 24 episodes, but there’s only 12 here. They don’t give duration, though, so are these doubled up?

I cringe every time I see an anime series getting turned into CG or soft-cell (Appleseed 2004, also Masamune Shirow), what-have-you. For a CG series (CG is not anime), it's not half-bad. It's pretty fluid in its dynamics. The downsides, however, are some of the body language that's like "wtf do I know? where do I put my hands in 3D? lol!", the texturizing, and hair dynamics are like toys. Some hair appears like a hardened-looking shell rather than flowing or bristly in the wind (ie. loosely referencing Final Fantasy: Spirits Within movie, which I may add wasn't based on any of the games). I'm not saying either/or on this, but even without the aforementioned minor details, it's still watchable, and the military and tactical storylines are pretty enjoyable; as expected of GITS. Also, I'll wait for dual-audio, thanks much.

@futagen [Season 2 was already been green-lit](https://blog.jlist.com/news/ghost-in-the-shell-sac_2045-confirms-2nd-season/) before season 1 was released on Netflix.

Also I forgot, Ishikawa calls Major "Gorilla Woman" twice in the Arise movie. So it's nothing new.

After forcing myself to get over the garbage CGI, I ended up being satisfied by the plot. It is written by Kenji Kamiyama and directed by Shinji Aramaki after all, like the excellent original SAC, so I gave it a chance. The first arc was very cringy and completely cheap action bait for normies but it ended up improving story-wise a lot. It still doesn't compete with the original SAC, but it is much better than most isekai shit that has been plaguing anime lately. Worth download and keep.
