@Slysoft >PNG4 is the recommended format to export an image sequence with transparency. from a quick google search

@bishop_ What good is transparency support when the original pages were in JPG to begin with? >~42% size lossy version of 1238047 Implying that these's a trade-off between quality and file size. I hope danke doesn't start releasing manga in PNG4 by default like what aKraa is doing now. I'd rather the original source files straight from the publishers.

I've linked to the source quality releases on every PNG4 torrent and I'm not going to stop releasing source quality. These alternative versions are simply made for people who think the ~2-3% quality loss is worth the ~60% filesize savings. I've been using 4-bit PNGs for /a/ dump threads since June 2018.
