This movie brought me a passion for fan subbing that I haven't feel for a while. I'm walking away feeling that I gave the best I had and It will be exciting to share comments and answer questions about Sumikko Gurashi, I have both books plus an array of fan books that explain a lot of the stories. If you want to share your experience of the movie, I'd be glad to talk here, in this post ? It is a personal passion project of mine and it might not be for everyone's tastes, but I firmly believe that you will enjoy it when you see it. Soon,The HQ version will be availiable, so, until then, enjoy this 480P version while you wait for the HQ. I have more Sumikko projects in the future, but that will be discussed another day ? I'm glad you have survived covid19 to watch this.

fantastic share but you hardsubbed it
The grammar in the description alone leaves a lot to be desired...
Yeah, the description english isn't great but the subs are actually quite good. Wish they weren't hardsubs, tho. EVERYONE STAY SAFE!
This looks adorable, thanks for taking it on! Though I'm gonna wait for the HQ version.
Just a heads up that this translation is really "loose", or as the translator himself said on reddit "an adaptation rather than a direct translation". He made up his own names for all the characters and wants people to pay him for subtitles with the original names. https://www.reddit.com/r/sumikkogurashi/comments/fvraqb/sumikko_gurashi_movie_afterparty_lounge/ And just from looking at the first couple of minutes of the movie, most of the descriptions of the characters are very different in the subtitles compared to what the narrator actually says. You can compare with the names and profiles on the official San-x site, which corresponds closely with the original Japanese narration: http://san-x.jp/characters/sumikko.html There is more about this translator's history of "loose" translations in the comments on this release from the same guy (or just google Ichido Reichan) https://nyaa.si/view/1284620
