I'd like to request that everyone take the time to read this description so they at least know what's going on with regards to the Seto no Hanayome BR rips (and any subs that will come from them). First, the Blu Rays were done quite poorly. Allow me to explain: The SnH Blu Rays are certainly at a resolution of 1920x1080. However the video information reveals that the aspect ratio of these videos is in fact 3:4 (yeah, not 4:3 or 16:9, 3:4). What this means is that while the video source is 1920x1080, it is only supposed to display as 1440x1080 (or so it seems, at least). In any case, this data is ignored by media players and they will in fact display these episodes at 1920x1080 resolution (which is what everyone wants, right?). However, trying to re-encode these to 720p is (seemingly) impossible, at least with the software I have. I use the Adobe Premier Pro CS4 and Adobe Media encoder for any video editing/encoding. These programs are very robust, but do not recognize 3:4 as a suitable pixel aspect ratio (and why should they? I've never even heard of it until now). As a result, any attempts to edit or re-encode the Blu Ray rips results in the output file being at a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of the 16:9 that we are used to seeing (there is more to it, but all that matters is the end result). Now, I am aware that people really want to get the best they can, so future releases from me will be 1920x1080 as opposed to the 1280x960 that I had previously released. What this means is simply that you don't need to worry about modifying your video settings to view the episodes in widescreen format. That said, I am well aware that some people cannot work with the filesizes of 1080p video and ~300kbps audio. To alleviate this, I will release 1280x960 releases in the future but only if there is large enough demand to justify doing so. It is unfortunate that the re-encodes will be 4:3 (although to be honest it does appear to be the intended aspect ratio), but people wishing to view in widescreen can simply set their media players to have the video fill the entire window (assuming they are on a widescreen monitor, of course). Now with all that cleared up, some release information: Video: 1920x1080 H.264 mp4 (VBR ~3200-3600kpbs) Audio: AAC VBR ~300kbps OP, ED remain, skippable (ordered chapters). EDs on all releases will look fairly low quality due to the need to speed up the framerate from 24 to 60fps (another issue with the BR source, it seems). Honorifics: "-san", "-kun", "-chan" generally removed. Exception is when Nagasumi says "MASA-SAN~". "-sama" and "-sensei" are unchanged. Trying to strike a nice balance between localizing the subs while not completely butchering the language or ruining the jokes. As a result, "-sama" and "-sensei" will remain untranslated and in place. I have to request that people don't turn this into something major because I'm well aware how some people feel about localization of subtitles.
