Kotern Wow I never knew people sold ths stuff that's nuts. Also does anyone know how this compares to the previous releases of this Animax special?
As of an hour ago anon https://nyaa.si/view/1229748 (which is no longer there mind you) deleted his torrent to prevent anyone else to get the audio and the shit fire that infested in the comment section we dont know when this will come out again or his or friend/brethren/enemy threaten him to do something if he did not take down the torrent. if anyone has this torrent or is going to torrent this again or will/going to anyways please torrent this now. we dont know how or when this will pop up again.
Thanks! Does this .ts have more fine detail than Fabrebatalla18’s version? Also, someone reupload the torrent with the original broadcast videos as well, please!
I had the Bardock Special Remaster Already, but the quality on this is a lot better. Just wished commercials were removed and it was deinterlaced properly
thanks for sharing, but it's interlaced :/

@Koitern it was removed by the source cause of comments being cancerous, audios are on archive.org too so no way it was to prevent people having them, the comment sections are cancerous when it's related to private db content
It is not supposed to be deinterlaced... It is a transport stream...
DBM can you share the link its just taking me to the site in general.
Is it 16:9 or the proper 4:3?
@Johnster Short answer, yes. Long answer, keep reading. @Gnosis Most of the torrents on nyaa use the GYAO Web-DL version of this remaster. It's only Fabrebatalla18’s encode that uses the Animax version, and he only uploaded it in 720p. But he removed the Animax logo by using that same portion of the GYAO video to patch the Animax logo. The logo removal looks good. Also some frames were edited in the Animax TV broadcast, so Fabrebatalla18 replaced the edited frames with the unedited ones from the GYAO source. Read more about that in the comment section of Fabrebatalla18’s torrent, and he mentions some fps problem with the GYAO source in the torrent info https://nyaa.si/view/1135394 (Frame editing like that is usually done because people with epilepsy have problems with fast flashing things on TV, and broadcast stations are being required to alter content to not show animations too fast. DBS had a lot of problems with it's broadcast in north america having bad animation from removing too many frames because of this requirement. I thought this was not required in Japan though.) iKaos also used Fabrebatalla18’s encode to add English audio https://nyaa.si/view/1185803 This Animax download is the first time the original .ts video for this remastered special has been uploaded on nyaa. It seems untouched and is in full 1080p Resolution. The commercials are there which is a sign the video hasn't been re-encoded. But it seems that Arabic Subtitles were added to the video which you wouldn't notice unless you checked since they are disabled by default. I assume the video wasn't re-encoded, but it would have made me feel better if the subtitles weren't added. That's just my OCD talking. This Animax torrent has the original frame rate of 29.97fps. I believe all other torrents on nyaa for both remastered specials 1 & 2 are converted to 23.97fps. If on a computer monitor you get a tiny black bar on top & bottom, if using VLC, right click, go to video, then crop, select 4x3. continued next comment...
The following comparisons were done with a computer monitor set to its max properly proportioned resolution of 1280x768. So this Animax torrent may have a bigger difference compared to Fabrebatalla18’s encode than I detected. I compared closely by switching between matching frozen frames in full screen using the VLC media player icon on the windows taskbar. First I'll compare this torrent to the GYAO untouched .ts video. Both videos have the same quality, meaning there isn't one that is less sharp of an image. However the Animax version has grain whereas the GYAO version has some DNR applied which removes a lot of grain and some detail is lost. Looking closely at the GYAO video I found certain small spots that sort of flicker a little bit due to the DNR's removal of the grain being a frame by frame procedure that decides to replace the grain one way in one frame, and as the grain moves, the grain in the next frame is replaced another way. But that isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it. The color in the GYAO and Animax sources are just a little bit different from each other, but Animax is a bit darker and a bit less color saturated. The DNR in the GYAO source is not as bad and not nearly as much detail lost as what Funimation did with DBZ, but detail will be lost from grain removal. People may not have any problem watching the GYAO source. I prefer Animax for the grain and detail even if the Animax logo is there. Fabrebatalla18’s encode is the only other Animax torrent on nyaa for this remastered special to compare to. It is only slightly less quality than this Animax torrent which you may not notice. But the problem with Fabrebatalla18’s encode is that the grain in the video has been removed quite a bit and therefore some detail is lost in the video. But it's not as much grain and detail loss as the GYAO version which had DNR applied. If the Animax logo bothers you and 720p doesn't bother you, Fabrebatalla18’s encode may be what you like best between his encode, this torrent, and the GYAO source.
Thank you anon, and to mrbean too for this detailed explanation.
Gracias se ve genial https://ibb.co/zGRkTh5 https://ibb.co/Xx7YMqQ https://ibb.co/rmqKG64 https://ibb.co/Z2RMdVb https://ibb.co/RDfYL1L
@mrbean where can find the GYAO version? I can delete this animax logo!!
Wish somebody could encode this and add subs.
I made a mistake in my previous comment. There have not been any Arabic subtitles added to this video. They are Japanese subtitles that are in the Arib format of subtitles which is a closed captioning format for both analog and digital broadcast television. So this video looks like it has been completely untouched. I somehow didn’t notice in the VLC codec info that the language was Japanese and my eyes just focused on Arib which I assumed was a misspelling of Arab. When I enabled the subtitles, I thought they looked like Arabic at the beginning credits, but they are Japanese. I’m Sorry for the misinformation. @adrian1992 I was able to get the GYAO videos from a magnet link on another website. The link to that website was given to me in the comments on a torrent page on nyaa courtesy of overdrive. That nyaa torrent has since been removed along with the comments, and on top of that there are no seeds left for that GYAO torrent. I will eventually upload those videos to nyaa, but it will probably be a very long time. I have so much to download right now because of the recent crazy amount of uploaded torrents from [TC] [SoM] that my upload bandwidth is being completely used and will be for a long time considering there is also another 2TB torrent that was uploaded in the middle of all that making a total probably close to 10TB. My internet is relatively slow, so this will take me a very long time to stabalize, and the torrent uploads may not even be finished. Also nobody has uploaded the Animax 1080p version of the DBZ Trunks Special yet, so you won’t be able to do what you want until someone uploads that Special.
