https://slow.pics/c/zLxks0SY Seems like AV1 is noticeably better at a much lower filesize. I have done tests on other samples, like the Beastars OP. Beastars didn't take well to AV1 at all. But this and stuff like the Sewayaki Kitsune No Senko-san AV1 encodes are convincing me that AV1 is very, very good for low-bitrate encodes of traditional anime. (Tests have shown that AV1 is significantly better than HEVC as well.)
